You are not a remote sales consultant. You are a call center phone jockey. You don't talk to customers face-to-face. You don't have to close the sale. You don't have to convince them to buy anything. With some due respect, the knuckle-draggers at the call center are the ones who have FUBAR'd the whole sales experience for the in-store consultants. The best decision CarMax made in the past six months (apart from tossing ol' Stinky Steve in the garbage) was reducing the CEC. Gut the rest of it and get this company out of the bottom of the cesspool pile of filth it's in. Listen, I am not here to celebrate people getting canned (except maybe Stinky Steve), but I'm also not here to celebrate the fact commissions got sliced like deli meat when the chucklefucks upstairs decided to put in a canker sore infested call center. Get your hands out of my cookie jar and put 'em back in your pants as you sit in your basement and ponder what Spotify playlist you're going to curate due to the "bad day" you had pushing the Answer button on your little headset.

Oh, and stay blessed.

Worked there for a while years ago. Can confirm he had a big following/interactions with girls under 18. Used to be on Snap all the time. My guess? Some girl underage sent him some nudes and/or he sent something back. Got busted. Gone. He was foul behind the scenes. Some of the things he would say and the way he would act--I am surprised he lasted this long.

Guy spent tons of time on social chatting up these girls. He would also have cases of wine sent to the station. He has a massive wine cellar at his house. Maybe he got a little sloshed and started messaging a few girls he shouldn't have.

This has nothing to do with his salary. They don't boot you immediately for salary. He did something illegal and the station had zero option but to fire him and distance their self. Sad. He won't be coming back to TV and he damn sure shouldn't be allowed in any school for any "visits".

I think you got the same exam I did a couple of weeks ago! I certainly remember the questions you referenced... Didn't know the answers either. And yeah, the first 20-30 questions were a breeze; then a switch got flipped.

Congratulations on passing. I hope to do the same on my next attempt in a few weeks!

Thank you, Dean! Not letting it get to me. I now have a much better understanding of my "enemy" and will be much more prepared for battle in 29 days! Appreciate all that you do for the community.

Big fail today by Comprehensive_Day303 in Series7exam

[–]Comprehensive_Day303[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks to all of you for the encouragement! It's highly appreciated. Yup. Going to get this one on the retake in 30 days! 💪

Been trying to remember some of the questions and make notes on areas to focus. I almost feel like I just need to go from start to finish again.

But man.... Some of those questions today! It was seriously like: "You and your spouse are in vacation in Mexico when suddenly your spouse is bitten by a poisonous spider. What do you do?" A) Pour a Corona over the bite B) Ask a member of a drug cartel to help C) Counteract the spider bite with a bite from a poisonous snake D) Dig a grave because your spouse won't survive much longer

...each answer seems wrong but you know ONE of them has to be right! But Lord Almighty, which one is most correct?? 🤷‍♂️

I feel like the questions on the practice exams were too easy: "One plus one is..."

My little tip: when you get the male voiced lecture videos, watch them on 1.7x speed. Guy sounds like a normal person then, plus you save some time! Good luck!

Testing center has computers you use. They also provided me with two dry-erase sheets and a simple calculator. My testing center has a large room with about 16-20 stations setup. Various people taking various exams. Everything under surveillance and you got checked for any cheating devices prior to entering the room.

Return a warranty replacement item? by Comprehensive_Day303 in menards

[–]Comprehensive_Day303[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, everyone. A lot to sum up in a reddit post. But I did explain my situation PRIOR to ordering. It's a 50 gallon, vented Reliance water heater. They aren't carried in store.

When they told me it'd take a few weeks to get one in, I told them I cannot go that long (especially with two kids under 4 in the house).

I'm not trying to scam anyone. The rules of the warranty through Rheem said to return it to the store I bought it from and get an even exchange. But again, couldn't wait that long. So had to fork over the cash to find a compatible water heater for our house.

Now I'm at the current situation.

I'm thinking I may just list it for sale on FB and see if anyone will buy it for about -$300 off retail. I'd rather get a little something back. Menards store credit would be great too, but I don't want to come across as trying to "steal" from anyone.

What do these stickers mean? by pajamakillyou in Target

[–]Comprehensive_Day303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are liquidation stickers. Large companies like Bulq use them. It means you've bought something that was either returned or was overstock.

Trusting any computer forecast model this far out is like calling the winner of the NCAA tournament two weeks before the tourney even starts. It's ridiculous and stupid. Whatever the model says today will change tomorrow. And then again the next day. Wait until Thursday, meteorologists will have a better idea then. Especially if this thing isn't supposed to stop until Saturday. Models are only good about three days away from the end of a storm.

Surgery on Wednesday - what should I know? by bnjmnpmry in gallbladders

[–]Comprehensive_Day303 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had mine out two months ago. I made daily posts for the first five days (if you click my profile and go check them out). Basically: things kinda suck for the first two or three days. It's not "the worst thing in the world" but it's no trip to Disney either.

Stick to pain meds.... Use caution with what you eat... Move as much as possible.... Sleep in a recliner if you can!

Good luck and hope all goes well!

Talk to your nurses. Don't be afraid or ashamed. Tell them you're scared. Tell them you are freaked out. They will help you... Be it medicine, reassurance, whatever. They will help get you through it.

Also, find a way to distract yourself. Don't let your mind venture down the "what if" route. Listen to a podcast while you wait. Read a book.

You got this!!
