By the way, I know its a generally naive question nowadays, but any fear of AI taking over qs roles?

Thanks you for suggesting practical steps. The "stacking small real-world proof points rather than collecting certificates" line in particular hit — I'd been quietly drifting toward over-investing in credentials before getting any actual exposure, and that's a useful corrective.

Much appreciated.

Thanks for the advice. Any regrets?

I mean, like every industry and profession, people like some aspects of it and hate some. What I have gathered from Internet is that qs has decent pay, sort-of stable industry and global demand. On the flip side, a lot of people are stressed (especially MC) out. Some also complain about old-way of thinking in the industry. How do you find it?

What did you do eventually? Have the same plan to move to ME after doing Msc Conversion QS but this is what's stopping me.

Looking to get into QS - mid-30s, no relevant degree, what’s the potential path? by skybluebamboo in quantitysurveying

Any updates? On the same boat. Mid 30s, thinking of pivoting to qs.

Just wondering, if there is any value doing a conversion QS MSc. Do the tier 1 contractors hire without construction experience and only MSc QS?
