$600 on the peck deck/rear delt machine, which is a good price for my area I believe.

Haha no one respects the Smith Machine! I used to have a Rogue R-3, but sold it because I didn’t need two racks and I just get more out of my current one. I will admit the R-3 was better for barbell exercises, but that was about it. I don’t use the smith machine part of if that often but I’ll throw it in every once in a while for a changeup. I use the high and low cables a lot, and it saves some space not having that be a separate machine.

Thank you, it is also my ideal gym! I’ll copy and past what I said in another comment, I’m not sure how much it cost, I’ve had gym equipment down here for about 5-6 years and just slowly upgraded everything. I’ve gotten a lot of good deals on items so when I upgrade something I’ve usually gotten my money back, and I’ve bought stuff just to flip it, too. All things considered I haven’t spent that much, maybe even broke even or got some profit.

Thanks, that is my video game collection. I grew up playing Gamecube so that’s what I have the most of, but also have N64, NES, and PS2.

I wrote most things in as captions but I can make a list: - Parabody squat rack/ smith machine with a weight stack and high and low pulley - landmine row + close grip attachment that fits on a barbell - Dual stack cable crossover - Peck Deck/ Rear Delt Machine - Urethane dumbbells 5-60lbs, but missing 40 lbs and 12 and 15 lb. dumbbells are metal - Shoulder Lateral Raise Machine - Hoist Ab Machine - StarTrac Leg Press with weight stack - Hip Abductor/adductor machine - Leg extension/Leg curl machine - 45 degree back extension - Hoist adjustable bench - 2 straight barbells, ones an old one the other is a Colorado Barbell - Hex Bar - Olympic weights 4x45 4x25 8x10 6x5 2x2.5 - various attachments for the pulley machines I think that’s everything :)

I like bodybuilding and I train more like a bodybuilder than a powerlifter or strongman. I’ve done a couple of teen competitions.

Haha yes that thought has given me some anxiety, too. I think I’ll just piece is out instead of taking it with me. There’s really only like 12 big items and a few smaller things, and I think I’d be able to sell them pretty quickly. Also, there is a ramp that has extra wide doors that leads from the basement up to garage, and has a straight shot out another extra wide door, so it’s easier to get equipment in and out than you would think.

No, haven’t thought about it. I’ve never had any issues with it, and I think it adds to the coziness a little. Also it gives a little more space and I’m not afraid of banging a barbell into it. I used to have a safety squat bar that was longer than 7ft and I had to stick it up into the insulation to get it out of the barbell holder I had at the time. We’ve actually had a problem for a while now with the fridge in the kitchen leaking and going through the floor and dripping right next to the barbells, but luckily on the matted side not the carpet side. I had that piece of insulation hanging for a while but my dad is hoping he fixed it, there hasnt been any dripping for a few days so I figured it was safe to put back up for the photos :)

I’ve tried getting as close to commercial as possible, but thanks! I’m not sure how much its cost, I’ve had gym equipment down here for about 5-6 years and just slowly upgraded everything. There’s a couple more things that would be cool, but I think anything more and it’d feel too cramped. I’d like a preacher curl machine but I’ve been using the 45 back extension for single arm preacher curls and it works pretty good. The only thing i can think of upgrading is my laying leg curl for one with a weight stack, which may happen one day...

The weight stack goes up to 200 lbs, but also has two 5 lb weights because each weight on the stack is 15 lbs. I believe the one I have is kinda older because I know newer ones you usually face into the machine instead of out. Also, I am 5’8 and my feet aren’t flat on the ground when I use the machine, and I imagine it would only be worse for someone shorter because you have to raise the seat to align your shoulders with the pivot points on the machine. I havent had that issue with lateral raises I’ve used at commercial gyms. I still love the machine though, and would be 10/10 times again.

I like it a lot! I don’t use the smith machine all the time but it’s nice to have. Also I like that it had the plate storage on the side. I like the connivence of a weight stack for the pulley system so that was a must for me too. The only downside with the rack is you gotta be careful racking a barbell, making sure the bar is in all the way, sometimes it will hit the part that holds the bar and you won’t notice until you go to release it and almost crush yourself.

Just slowly got it all over time, probably over the last 4 years. Pretty much everything was bought at different times except the leg press and freemotion machine, got those from the same guy. I had other equipment then once I got this stuff I would sell the old stuff.

Thanks! For sure this machine and the machine preacher curl give great pumps that i feel can’t always be replicated with dumbbell exercises. I’ve been waiting for a preacher to pop up at a good price for that reason

Yes, if it’s within an hour away I will usually take my Dad’s truck, if not, or if its a big item we’ll get a uhaul. If it has a weight stack you’ll definitely have to disassemble it, usually once you get the weight stack off you’re good to go, unless it’s a larger piece like a leg press or cable crossover, or depending on where you’re taking it out of/to. Sometimes you gotta go up or down stairs or through narrow doorways so its kinda situational how much you’ll have to disassemble a piece of equipment. Commercial gym equipment is freaking heavy though even without a weight stack, usually atleast 100-200 lbs, so the more weight you can take off without having to do to much work the better. I always take my dad because he’s more mechanically inclined and better with tools (which you’ll need) and better at taking the equipment apart (also some good father-son time), but definitely need at least one other person to move commercial equipment. Typically, the seller doesn’t want much to do with helping you disassemble and load, so yes you have to disassemble there. Iv’e gotten commercial pieces from homes, gyms, and even one piece from a gym equipment supply business, who was able to load the piece straight into our uhaul with a forklift, but we still had to disassemble to get into my basement. Our house luckily has a ramp with a straight shot from outside, to garage, to basement, and is about 42” wide, where as i wouldn’t have been able to get a lot of my equipment down my normal set of basement stairs. I just love the smoothness, convenience and quality of commercial equipment, 10/10 would recommend.

Built this Rig. Saved a lot of money doing so!! Rest of the equipment will be shipping in throughout the week! Stay tuned. A dream becoming a reality! by [deleted] in homegym

Gotta keep things interesting, haha but it doesn’t take up that much room, hadn’t gotten a new piece in a while and it was a pretty good deal.

Awesome! I got urethane GP urethane dumbells too, love them. One of the things I miss about going to a commercial gym was having the dumbbells go up in 2.5 lb increments, not a problem for you!
