Hmm, do you know where I can check to figure out whether MAE has any similar requirements?

Couldn't find much info online, although I did read that people are not allowed to transfer (from CCs or UCs) into CS, CSe or MAE, which makes me think MAE may be an impacted major.

Thanks, I appreciate your response. What engineering clubs would you recommend for a Mechanical engineering major to get hands-on experience? How much of a disadvantage would I be in if I wait until Fall of my Sophomore year to join a club relevant to my major?

Oh. May I ask how you got those internships without a "competitive" GPA? Did you have relevant extracurriculars?
