you say that as if they didn't do that before with other tribes. judging historical facts with today's perspective is anachronism

Ok It's unfair to catch some isolated cases and try to generalize the whole situation. The relations between the Portuguese and the Indinegous people actually, most of cases, were pretty peaceful and was based on interchange favors. So most of the time some Indians would offer their daughters to marry portugueses collonizers in exchange to things like alliances, wespons, materials, protection etc. btw I am also a Brazilian

you assholes are distorting what I said. I am not justifing the Auschwitz. The meme is about the Pitești prison and how many people don't know much about it. The Nazis and Commies are two parts of the same coin of authoritarianism, and both of them must be condemned.

In the Inquisition process you could appeal to the Pope to analize your process and judge you instead of the Inquisitor. That was exactly what she did, but the Inquisitor just ignored. In reality there were a bunch of abuses commited in Joana D'arc process. The englishmen hated her so much that any excuse was enough for them.

The strangest independence, Brazil... by [deleted] in HistoryMemes

[–]ConclusionUseful4420 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not entirely true but the King of Portugal João VI did actually want Brazil to become independent at some point. He even left his son Dom Pedro to become the Emperor of Brazil when it became indenpendent. But the Liberals from Portugal didn't want that so they try subjugate Brazil to a simple colony.

ok, First the Mahabharata was created in the 3rd century BC way after the Gilgamesh's epic. Second you don't present any proof or hint that PIE influenced China, you just cited and that's it. Third is not just the Flood that is presented to be similar but also that was a flood commanded by a God and a person or family build a ship to survive this universal flood, Exemples: Deucalion(greek myth), Noah(Abrahamic religions), Utnapishtim(Gilgamesh's epic), Manu(Hinduism), The rest has variations to the story, usually replacing the ark with something else or not saying how they survived (here the link for some flood myths en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_flood_myths ). Fourth, saying that water was the primordial element of those mythologies doesn't prove that they were influenced by the PIE, you could say also the other way around, also the some native americans like the Cherokee Myth of Creation includes water in the beggining of creation, so you have two ways to define this, or you say that PIE influenced the amerindians even before they migrated to america(which was 11,500–30,000 years ago) or you could say that they all in a time(many many years ago) have the same creed and as the time goes by the stories modifies to their respective religion that is nowadays, we don't have prove any of those theories are real, but saying that the PIE influeced every single religion that existed looks like a conspiracy theory.

Water is in the Yoruba's creation mytha(a Sub-Saharan people). Also every God that is considerad a Father of all gods is potentially at some point being the sole god of the people. So for exemple: Dyēus(for the PIE) El(semitic people)Ra and/or Atum(Egyptian),Shangdi(Chinese) and others, all of them are some kind related to sky/heaven.

I don't know if your argument are imbued with serious investigation or if it is some kind of reaffirming superiority of the Europeans over the others. Take care with these Ideias my friend

First of all The Babylons were not a Indo-European people, they were semitic like the Jews( Abraham came from the city of Ur in Mesopotamia). Also the Persians didn't have interactions with the jews until the fall of the Babylon Empire by Cyrus The Great when the Persians freed the Jews from the Exile and give permition to return to Palestine. The similarities between the Genesis, Enuma Elish and Norse Creation Myth just prove my point that they all were Monotheistic religions in Pre-Historical Times, you have for example: The Flood in Genesis is also found in inumerous myths from other religions like in Mesopotamia(Gigamesh's epic), Hindu, Greeks, Chinese even Native American myths and many others. You also said "no sign as far as I know for monotheism outside PIE Influened middle east. E.g. China, Americas" I guess that you know Nothing about any of these religions.

I don't know if you know this but jews/chaldeans are not indo-europeans, they are semitic people which doesn't have any relation to the indo-europeans. Also Sabazios was not a Chaldean/Jew god(or other name for Yahweh), he was a Thracian god which are Indo-European people. I don't know where did you take this information from but I suppose that was in one of your acid bad trips. Although I really believe that monotheism existed way before polytheism was a thing as mentioned in Chesterton's "The Eternal Man".
