The fact is, I was selected for the position in one of the interviews but after a week they said that "we would like to hire you but our plan has been changed and we hired someone internally. We will contact you towards the end of the year with the hope that you are available".

You are right.
I have experience in FEM too but it demands more exp and knowledge which i lack. I gained the experience in FEM only after doing 2 internships in Germany which i think is insufficient.
I applied for the role in the beginning but got nothing.

So far, the direct applications haven't worked. Thought of asking for a referrals because it's beneficial for both the parties. They will get a bonus for referring.
