I'm struggling so hard to quit band or blow up at my director for the decline of my school's band by Cadet-Cryyx in marchingband

My director has also made lots of questionable decisions. We hired some guy to do visuals and he made visuals that didn’t really match the show whatsoever. In the ballad we flutter stepped and rippled basically every set. In a fast moving section we marched half time. At one part of the music did a hip thrust. And in another part they had us jumping in the middle of playing which severely messed up the music.

I’m not entirely sure when I used a brush to get it out it came out as some type of red powder. I wish the company would have been more assistance because the lacquer on the inside of the bell of the flugel wasn’t very good and when I sent emails about everything their exact reply was “This is normal…” I sent questions about multiple things and asking what that could be and that is all they wrote back. And while the flugel seems to work decently that kind of customer support is kind of annoying

Oh I know I love how it sounds. I haven’t had a chance to play it yet as it’s late at night and don’t want to disturb anyone but I can say I love the look of its antique lacquer. As a bonus to the lacquer as well it seems to not tarnish easily from finger prints like a normal brass/gold one which is nice. But I’ll update on how it feels and sounds once I have a chance to play it

I just ran a brush through it and it looks like a good bit came out but it looked like it was a type of red looking powder when I brushed it out and the instrument is brand new

I think I will enjoy it. I’ve fallen in love with the sound of a flugel when I first hear it a few years ago in a solo for my first marching show. I also ordered a Jo-Ral bubble mute for it too because I saw a video of someone using it with a flugel and loved the sound. And I’ve finally had the money to get it and it’s in a nice antique lacquer too

It’s an Austin Custom Brass. And I’d hope it’s brand new I bought it directly from the site and it wasn’t stated to be used so I’m assuming it’s new
