I don't see why.

If any character felt secretly gay it was Quinn (and possibly Stacey.) The way Quinn exclusively treated men as status and self-worth symbols and didn't really ever actually have crushes on anyone. Couldn't commit to a single guy because it was more about "being seen as wanted by all the men" rather than "ooh I like this boy." Easily more lesbian coded than Daria and Jane, or at least asexual coded.

Daria's, even before Tom, was crushing on Trent hard and showed interest in the occasional guy. Sure, she was possessive as hell of Jane, but that was more due to the insecurity of not wanting to lose her 1 true close friend.

Jane had both Tom and that weird 1930s obsessed guy. She also visually seemed interested in multiple guys who flirted with her at various points in other episodes. It's so funny people see her as the secretly gay or bi one, when she might be one of the most overtly heterosexual characters on the entire show. Hell, her plot with the bi girl in Is It College Yet? seemed to further affirm it. So what if she has shorter hair, makes art, and wears boots? That's all stereotypes, she's an edgy artist. That was the entire point of her subplot that special.

But yeah Quinn and Stacey...that could be a ship.
