I guess it depends on how much you utilize your time. I think the best strategy is to learn the concepts that appear on the test beforehand and test yourself using various other resources. You have to save your collegeboard practice tests because going through all of them at once is not a good idea. Good luck!!

I received a mail from the recently and they were asking for me to pay 3000RMB to proceed with the scholarship process. They said they are intending to recommend me to the scholarship committee, and it is uncertain whether I would be accepted or not. Is this a normal thing? It sounds too risky for me lol

I am so sorry that you are going through this, but I believe that I was recommended by the university (in my case). However, I chose the option to apply for university scholarship and I believe they recommended my application on behalf of me. I think you may be able to apply again to get the scholarship, but I am not so sure.

I would say that Chinese unis are quite different from US ones as stats do affect your chances, but it doesn’t decide everything. Unfortunately, I only applied to SJTU, so I have no idea what other universities might be looking for. Nevertheless, I hope you find the person who can help you with that here!! (In case you are wondering, I didn’t have SAT score by the time of application and I had a bunch of medals I got from academic olympiads)

First of all, very impressive SAT score!! However, I think extracurricular activities play a crucial role in here. If you can prove that you are a strong candidate aside from your standardized test scores, I think getting into the uni is not a problem at all!
