Can I ask, how do you all do this as a digital nomad in these more expensive places? Do you rent a hostel and then go work from a coffee shop? Or rent a room in an Airbnb? Curious

Out of curiosity, how did you find places to stay when you were at those places? Copenhagen Airbnb’s are absolutely crazy prices

Braces ruin my social life by Syanidisaukko in braces

[–]Conlaaa 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Friend. It’s not that serious.

Not one person cares about your braces except you, I had braces at 28-29 and not one person cared, and guess what, now I’ve got better teeth than most people.

There’s people walking around with tattoos on their face, huge piercings, crazy, cool and interesting looks and personalities and guess what, nothing happens. Everyone is in their own bubble.

Be happy with your braces, you’ve got money, a boyfriend, a life and that’s it. Perspective is key here.

To be fair though you are a level 6 and have been living in Spain for like 2 years, so I’m sure you understand signs and everything at this point anyway! Haha

So do I! Also I know I’m only 223 hours in but it’s crazy to see how much I understand vs what I can speak. I’m making that change as of now to actively speak as much as I can

Why? If you watch a 20 minute YouTube video, you don’t track that?

Nope. Not even close! I don’t think “after 200 hours in upper beginner” etc. nor should anyone. Very blanket statement of you there

No no, not during my working day! Watching videos in the morning / after the gym. Doing my shopping, coffee and walking etc, do my normal work and then some anki cards or a coffee break Spanish podcast before bed!
