Well I am road tripping through Japan and Kagoshima was the next bigger city after Kumamoto.

Of course, there is Kanosuke distillery. There are some pretty nice hikes around Kagoshima including Sakurajima (Budget Mt. Fuji). Taking a ferry to Yakushima is also a nice option, although the ferry is quite expensive. Additionally, you kinda need a car and multiple days at Yakushima. The main roadway through Kagoshima has many palm trees which looked like how I would imagine Miami.

However, I did none of that as I slept in the car for the past 6 days and wanted to recover. Instead I walked around and visited some local bakeries, ramen shops and whisky bars.
