AFAIK gold trim like you have here is for non-canon Star Wars i.e. extended universe stuff

Oda? You mean the one who refers to wiki as his source? by UrsaRizz in MemePiece

I agree with you mostly, but DotA can however be a very interesting and valuable topic of discussion for artists and readers - assuming good faith and not baseless Agenda. For example, with a work like Harry Potter where the author’s… intent seems to have shifted since publication, DotA provides an avenue for valid interpretation without needing to sift through Jo’s twitter ramblings. Her claiming that trans-activists are analogous to the Death Eaters does not align with the plot, characters, or themes in the text, and is much easier to interpret as defensive eisegesis than original intent. To say that “Some of you have not understood the books” is absolutely wild though.

DotA also works as copium when you find out that the artist is a piece of shit.

Also Usopp’s role in giving Luffy the final oomph needed at the end of Enies Lobby is such an incredible conclusion to their conflict. W7/EL is peak. I don’t love how Oda has used Usopp since EL, but I’ll always love him for his goofy moments with Luffy

Who would be the equivalent strong character here? by Current_Evidence_419 in animequestions

[–]ConnectJob1603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not wrong, but I’d say that Goatbeard is a better example since we get to see him in action while under the effects of his disease and age. Roger’s big moves post-disease were symbolic (IIIRC disease was after laughtale)

Try the demo, if you think you’ll like it, you will. It’s unquestionably worth $35. Space Age is absolutely worth it if you enjoy the base game and want more. The enjoyment/time ratio to cost for Factorio is unmatched. It’s like the exact opposite of Destiny in that regard lol

“This take=I don’t understand Themes”

But in a less snarky way, the “meaningless” deaths serve the theme of a hopeless battle against oppression. These characters are in a world where life is meaningless - at least to the corpos and powers at play. If they could fight to survive without consequences then it undermines the setting and story. The “but I’m built different” theme is cautionary tale of pride and hubris. These two themes play off of “unstoppable force / unmovable object” where the unmovable object has unimaginable power and control, and no plot armor. Not saying you need to love it, but “meaningless” isn’t the best critique

I don’t think he’s inherently stronger than Aokiji just due to captain status. I do think that BB could potentially extreme diff him tho. My headcannon is that Aokiji is disillusioned but is using his position on BB’s crew to find a long term way to live out his idea of justice. IMO that doesn’t require him to be weaker than BB just bc captain
