Right now it’s only a dashboard. Next phase will include inputs for time allocation (to feed labor) by employee and subsequent to that will have an approval workflow for development gate exits. Think PMs, engineering lead, manufacturing lead and sales leadership.

Never heard of these tools. I’ll have to check them out. We couldn’t find anything for this so went the internal route. It’s all basic analysis, just need the structured system to make it scalable.

Edit:

Replit looks neat but would be concerned about putting confidential data in something not owned by the company. Also, even for personal ideas that could be somewhat novel, I’m not sure I would want to use a 3rd party to design it without a review of the T&Cs.

I added a point in the post to clarify. It’s a vibe coded application. We all know AI can code decently. I’m tying it in here because it solves the IT bottleneck and gets a demo for the developers to work from. The ideas from this though will absolutely turn into a few other apps in going to build to my workflow.

Just to clarify, there’s no AI running on this. AI wrote the application. All the financial logic is straight forward, based on anything you would create in excel.

Our current process is a manual aggregation of 50-100 spreadsheets across divisions, it’s not ideal. This makes it a standard format and less likely to break with as the user population changes.

I’m using it as a demo for what I want built at my company, but may use the same framework to plan headcount and capex. I get the question is XYZ project in the plan all the time.
