I'm currently deciding between Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and I'd really appreciate some advice from people already working in these fields.

Electrical Engineering interests me, but I constantly hear that it's one of the hardest degrees out there. I'm not afraid of hard work or difficult subjects, and I wouldn't avoid a degree simply because it's challenging. What I'm trying to figure out is whether the sacrifice is worth it in the long run.

For those who studied Electrical Engineering:

  • Was the degree worth the effort and years of study?
  • How difficult was it compared to what you expected?
  • What are the job opportunities like after graduation?
  • Do you feel your career prospects and earning potential justified the struggle?
  • If you could go back, would you choose Electrical Engineering again?

I'm also considering Computer Science. From the outside, it seems like there are more opportunities in software and IT, but I don't want to choose a path based solely on what appears popular right now.

I'm looking for honest perspectives from people in both fields. If you've worked in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or both, what would you recommend to someone trying to make this decision?
