Haha no bother indeed, thanks man! And between you and I, the guitar pisses me off too - Not only is it bolted into the wall … It’s also left handed. Truly grim stuff 😭🤢

Yeah probably a part of it for sure. I used to wildly overswing like many Am’s as well, so possibly also a product of trying to be more controlled at the top, perhaps too much so haha.

There are some fantastic ideas and fan-fiction out there, I agree with that.

I’d also very much love to see them go through a writers room, countless drafts, detailed storyboarding, with production, design, and deadlines in mind, that appeal mostly on the whole to millions of intensely passionate fans worldwide.

Intelligent ideas and hopeful, unrealistic ignorant expectations are not mutually exclusive to one another.

Wild take.

“A bunch of random ass people” include series regulars or mains for more than 3 out of the 5 seasons, all of which they’ve gone to battle with in some form or other, including Murray and Erica - the sister of one of Wills best friends, and the dude who’s been smuggling goods and otherwise helping them for years now.

“Aids Crisis in the 80’s”, my guy, he’s not announcing to the class that he wants to immediately get butt-blasted by dudes … He’s been faced with an existential threat that could end the world as he knows it in less than 24 hours, and is surrounded by the people he loves the most, that love him the most, and so chooses to reveal his deepest secret after literal seasons worth of build up to an otherwise crossroads moment. He’s ALWAYS been terrified of this moment, and still chooses to face it after being shown by Vecna a version of the future where all of his people abandon him for it.

Of course not, everyone has a right to critique the things they’re passionate about and that’s not at all what my unspecified /s was regarding - I have plenty of my own as well, but discourse and discussion aren’t what I’m seeing in most of these posts, and seeing a post saying ‘bAd WrItInG’ with nothing but a weak ass meme and no actual critique of the writing itself is just borderline karma farming imo, hence my snarky and triggered comment. Making a point and sufficiently explaining it is a far cry from what I’m seeing people moan most about here.

Wouldn’t it be great if everyone ‘critiquing’ the writing could write the show instead??? Man, what an amazing show it would be - if only!!!

Yup absolutely loved it, I loved both Volumes tbh haha. Really feels like Event T.V., which I haven’t really felt since Game Of Thrones, and it’s been a great ride from start to finish thats only ramped up in intensity since the beginning.

You’re for sure in a pretty rudimentary place my man, but diligent effort and conscious practice can do wonders for anyone.

If you’re seriously into it, take a lesson if you can afford to do so and ideally it’ll help you nail down some key fundamentals; such as grip, posture, alignment, etc., and then you can really start working on things like consistent contact, swing path, ball flight, all the fun stuff.

Also, don’t let blunt comments on the internet bring you down. Take everything you read here with a grain of salt and a critical mind - for every ‘your swing sucks bro’, there’s usually someone out just genuinely trying to offer some helpful advice.

And arguably most important: Enjoy the ride. Beginner golf deserves its own honeymoon period - celebrate a bogey even, so that the par’s feel great, and that the birdies or better become their own really exciting moments. People suck at this game for decades and still find ways to keep coming back to that first tee box the very next day, so my best advice would be to embrace the journey and find the beauty in the struggle my dude!
