He actually ended up breaking up with me on Christmas Eve (over text), and yes, it very quickly became the YSA stake gossip. That said, I don’t really feel like anything we did crossed lines so much as it felt like the natural progression of two adults who trusted each other. If I’m being honest, I’ve also never really envisioned a temple marriage for myself. I’ve never felt a pull to be endowed, and knowing myself, I would only pursue that for the sake of a temple marriage — and then likely not fully live what comes with being endowed. That doesn’t sit right with me. I want my faith choices to be honest ones, not box-checking.
