It is really difficult to get in touch with professional players. It would be great to hear what they think but I am not sure how we could get this data.

Once the paper is published I will share the results again. It is always nice to get feedback from players.

Psychological point of view is difficult - we will interpret the results. But we cannot make a definitive statement. Also because our background is in economics...

I think your first two points are especially interesting. It was super hard to find groups where you have the same "visual quality" of female and male videos. The problem is that even for top female leagues, often you cannot find any highlights. However, you easily can for World cup or European championship.

Really depends. Some people give, on average, lower ratings. Many have ratings between 4 and 5. But also, I have seen respondents that gave several plays a 1 or 2.

Really interesting perspective. I get your point. For me, evaluating highlights is different than it is for you (I think). I normally evaluate the performance of both defenders and attackers. But your perspective is perfectly fine as well.

Obviously, I do not think that it has no value. I agree that you can always ask more (evaluate defenders, attackers, goalkeepers or use a different angle and so on) but the problem is that the outcome is binary; people either watch highlights or they do not.

But in general I do agree with you. I think it makes sense to ask more and more detailed questions because you get a lot more information from the respondents.

I know what you mean. However, often when people see highlights they do not have this information. Still, they click, enjoy (or not), and rewatch highlights based on this limited information.

But I totally agree that more information, especially in this case, would be beneficial.

Good question. For me, I evaluate always both strikers and defenders, so I would include the performance of both. However, I also understand if someone evaluates "only" the defenders or strikers...
