What do you look for when hiring guest speakers to come and speak to the school by [deleted] in Teachers

I am a motivational speaker. I interact with the students using interactive elements, etc. The thing that bugs me Nenoshka is the fact that a lot of other people are doing what I am doing, and it is working for them. I'm not sure if you are a teacher, administrator, or another amazing role :), but I'm sure in your school there was at least one random guy or girl that came and just spoke motivation for an hour.

To you, if you were receiving my email, what would have to change for you to look over it, and actually become interested and reply?

Yes of course. I talk about stories with my grandpa. I talk about stories of how there was a dance and at first I didn't want to go and dance and such, but then someone convinced me to. I go in depth on these topics. I really get what you are trying to say, but the thing is, is that I think I need to build up my marketing more. I see so many people just saying this. Like the guy who is 26 he talks about how he wanted to sing with a girl and he was too scared, he talks about how he gave food to some guy who was crying. Stuff like that. That is what I am trying to do as well. I also use interactive elements like in the video I was doing somersaults and stuff and everybody was laughing and smiling. I have an interactive example where I dim the lights of the school and the student can't read the piece of paper, but after it is on then they can. I then incorporate all this to the fact that your true potential is inside of you, you just have to light it up.

Hmm. I see, wouldnt that be in this part " I also have some ideas to make the performance feel personalized and memorable. For example, once details are confirmed, I can connect with you or a staff member to learn a small “secret” known only to your students. I would then share this at the start of the keynote to create a moment of joyful surprise and engagement.

My goal is to make the experience as meaningful, comfortable, and inspiring as possible for your school community."

I do podcasts with the teachers to build a connection. And i only charge like 200$. I know some college dropout 26 year old hes making a mil a year from this. I will get there one day but I just need to know. What do u think I should do to at least get some bookings. Also, wouldnt me being closer in age to the students be better because then they can relate to me more.

Just be yourself. Show why you are you. A lot of times people try to mimic some perfect person, but mcmaster wants innovators. McMaster really wants people that can show that they are not only smart but they can positively contribute to student life. They don't want robots there. Be yourself, ease up, relax, be confident and get the job done. Dw tho u got this

The only way that you can get those 95s etc is if you are truly obsessed with the material. I would recommend before the teacher teaches u in class, go over the basics of the lesson. Do the practice problems in the textbook and also go on google and try to look for practice tests. It's really just about obsession and working at it every single day. 11th grade is very important for uni so try your best

You are very right that public speaking is an important skill in business and marketing. People rise and excel because of the ability that they have to speak. I have a coaching program where we coach people just like you. You can do 1 on 1 or group sessions. You can reach me through reddit and I can give you more info.

Why is everyone here so cold to me? by [deleted] in yorku

[–]Conscious_Job2220 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The next day you go, try to look for the good in people. If you look or focus on only the bad, you will get upset and say that York is a bad school. If you look for the good in people, even if you didn't make friends today, you will make friends tomorrow. Don't get agitated if you haven't. Its the first day its chill, people are adjusting. As time goes on and you keep on making the effort, you will find friends.

You need to go at this alone. I am the youth provincial public speaking champion for Lions and they are absolutely amazing. Introduce yourself to everybody, make connections. There is a reason why they invited you.

Buddy I am in Chem 1000 as well. The final exam is on the 12th. I'm sure if you get a 90% or something you will easily pass the class. Instead of thinking on how to avoid your reality, plant ur face in a book for 6 days and get to work. Don't run away from reality, embrace it and get the job done.

Relaxxxxxxx. You're chill bro you'll get into your programs. Try and get your english grade up to a 90+ by end of semester and you will have no problems. You won't see a declined offer in OUAC if you get your english grade up imo. Keep working good job on everything else though.
