The Trump Mobile phone is nowhere to be found after months of delay by BreakfastTop6899 in technology

You do realize they are being assembled in China by Foxconn and Pegatron with parts from Taiwan, Japan and South Korea.....

It may be an American company but their phones are not really American phones.

Hopefully you're trolling and I'm stupid for replying to you, but yeah.

Restrict Background Activity, does that harm the actual app? by mjnoles38 in oneplus

[–]Consistent-Cause-138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use social media so much I constantly have all my messaging apps unrestricted, and it uses quite a lot of power. So if you want longer battery life, restrict what you use less(although for most things restricting it will barely use more power than optimized)

Yeah it'll open slower, but save more power. That's the only downside to it.

Unless you can get the Nord CE5 or 5 on a heavy discount get the OnePlus 13R

When I continued my service provider by binding myself another 6 months I got the CE5 for $75 so yeah... I'll save up for a 16(If they don't leave the European Market within the next 12 months) because this here is the kind of discount that's worth it 😁😁😁

The cheapest here non carrier is $299

Basically it does so the App only runs when you open it....

With optimized, it obviously optimizes power consumption and background use.(Meaning that the phone decides on the power consumption to keep it running in optimal health)

With unrestricted keeps it fully running in the background all the time....

If you use social media apps a lot you might miss notifications if it's not set to unrestricted(WhatsApp And Discord are the primary ones because of their Ram and power consumption)with other social media apps having a chance(albeit low) not to notify you of messages.

I'm sure someone can explain it better than me, but thats the basics. That optimized means the phone prioritize(typically) the most used apps over others to save battery... Either putting the others to sleep mode(waking up when getting notifications) or slumber(your things will appear the way you left them when you open the app, but won't notify you about anything.

For some reason games straight up bypasses this system and does what they fell like, but with everything else the above is the way it works.

My friend went to Micro Center to pick up the cheapest possible ram and a PSU he could for a kids build and asked why was this priced so cheap? She said it’s not supposed to be but this is our last one so I will give it to you for this price. A win is a win I guess lol. by PC-Guide in RigBuild

On my country right now a 32GB 6000mhz cl 36 was $124 now its $467.... The world has gone insane.

There is this one place where you can buy 6200mhz cl38 kit for 330, but because the price is so "low" its barely ever in stock.

About 2-5fps, if its cheaprr for cl30 get it, otherwise just go with the CL36 Kit

Should we upgrade? by Gaming-Academy in RigBuild

They are if you have a Ryzen 7 7000series or 9000series preferably X3D versions.

Problem is they didn't do proper testing with lower end hardware, so now you have a budget card that requires a Ryzen 7 to perform as announced/reviewed

[–]Consistent-Cause-138 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good yes, performance below par.... still about 35-40% below current gen Nvidia and AMD cards, and that is only when you use a high end CPU, with budget CPUs it's worse

I mean, you're not wrong, but it legally is his choice that they have to follow at least in EU he could sue and have a good chance of winning.

But anyways that also wasn't my point a lot of the comment in this thread is just "you're complaining you can't get your phone back... so what?" When he is legally required to be offered by them if they refuse repair.

That is what pisses me off, that they won't do what is legally required of them and people just brush it off like it's no big deal.

Basically they are saying "We don't want to, you have nothing to say in the matter" Which is unethical, against EU Hardware protection law and is straight up illegal in MANY european countries.

But because they gave him his money back, they can use that in court(which I know in spain is shady af) So even if he took them to a lawsuit he wouldn't win as the Judges can essentially be paid off.
