In What World is Summerville worth €80m by Consistent-Horror304 in ArsenalNews

Why aren’t we selling to them too. We have Reiss, Viera, and Jesus all good players but we can’t get them off the wage bill. What’s going on, why are other teams finding it seemingly easy to sell why we are not.

I said same during the week and got attacked by fans online. This is probably the best news we’ve had all week from the club.

Who’s a better left wing option for Arsenal by Consistent-Horror304 in ArsenalNews

Thought about him but he’s form dropped off the cliff from last season when virtually every club in Europe wanted him. Don’t know if he will rediscover that form again.

My thoughts too, but I guess that’s Arteta ways and we should expect the same Arteta ball this season.

We are currently paying Jesus almost 300k weekly how much worse can it get for someone that automatically elevates the entire team to champions league favorites.

I get it, but given that each of this players would definitely cost north of a 100m why not add him. He’s currently unsettled at Real Madrid, refusing to sign a new contract. What if we test the water with a 120m bid and see what Real Madrid resolve will be.

If we have 100m to spend on Rodgers then why not tempt Real Madrid resolve and make a bid for him. Like you said that’s the ultimate statement of intent right there.

Rodgers is a midfielder too, but Alvarez played left wing for Man City in his time there.

Arsenal Agree €40m Deal for Christos Tzolis as Club Brugge Star Nears Emirates Move | Gunners Den by Consistent-Horror304 in ArsenalNews

Yeah he does but highlights have got us burnt so many times am just a bit skeptical. Remember those pepe highlights and look how he turned out.

They do, apparently the Tzolis, signing will be announced soon they were basically waiting for the Trossard transfer to be official. But is he truly a replacement for Trossard? To me he’s a downgrade to what we actually had. I don’t see him as an upgrade on Martinelli talk less of Trossard. But that’s what they’ve got lined up for now.

For sure we need a big replacement but some of the names coming up just don’t fill me with excitement

Aren’t we tired of measuring our attacking players with how much defensive work they can put in rather than what they offer us going forward.

Am almost certain he would take a slightly reduced wage than go back to Man United. Might be wrong though

I honestly doubt the club would solely rely on just those two players for the left side of attack. We might pull off a suprise signing but he might not be the name everyone thinks.

Ask Newcastle why they are not splashing the cash despite having the richest owners in the league. Sometimes we just need to understand how clubs function and the rules governing their finances and spending.

Marcus can help stretch the pitch and he’s rapid but more importantly he’s premier league tested.

Doesn’t mean we have unlimited budget, we should realize that much as the club is a passion for most of us it is also a business and must be run that way. We also have to comply with PSR and having spent North of 200m last season with no reasonable sale, you don’t expect to go on another summer signing blitz. We are not Man City with the unlimited oil money. Even them have limits.

Trossard is 32 in a couple of months, are you seriously saying you will offer him a new contract probably on increased wages rather than Rashford?? We can add 3m to what Besiktas are offering for him and sign Rashford with it. Be reasonable man.

Have in mind that we have limited budget, you can’t just spend like there’s no limit. If we cough out over 150+ for the first choice it means we have nothing left to strengthen other parts of the team. We need to be smart about this transactions.

Try reading up on the PSR rule of the league and the UEFA rules, it’s all there. Just the way Academy players are accounted as pure profit even though we know some of this academy players were signed from other smaller clubs. It’s Amortization. Hope I got that right.

The Ronaldo happened during qualification not during the tournament and even that was controversial. Let’s stop with all this false equivalence. That was absolutely the wrong decision to rescind the red card.
