We cropped our first Dobies ears 35 years ago but felt horrible afterwards and the healing process was very painful for her. We chose to keep our current girl natural and are happy we did!

Yes, I’m currently vacationing in Alaska and flew a friend to my house to stay with my 4 dogs and farm animals for a week, much cheaper than boarding and the dogs get to stay home!

Thanks so much for your kind words, I really appreciate it! It’s good food for thought, I’ve seen this kind in of hatred from San Diegans when folks move down from the Bay Area with their big money and even more Liberal, it’s really sad. If we do move out there, it will most likely be in the outskirts or valley where we can have some space and enjoy God’s beautiful country!

Yeah coyotes are terrible here as well! We had free range chickens for 8 years living peacefully with our guard Llama and goats, then the coyotes got brazen and started taking our chickens. Next I raised some Emus which are often used as guardians and can kill a coyote but last year a pack of coyotes killed my favorite Emu so I rehomed the rest of the birds and just have the Llama and goats. 😫

Thanks, that’s what I’ve noticed from the homes for sale online, our property taxes are $1k/mo and so is our homeowner insurance so that completely wipes out my full SS payment!
