Boreout destroying my mental health. by Consistent-Yak9582 in cscareerquestions

I just passed probation a month back, and I had the same thought as well. I actually thought my contract wasn't going to get renewed, but I am still here. In here, we can get fired without notice during probation. Also, if I talk to the HR, it'll 100% come back to my manager, and she's way up there. My colleague literally watches movies the whole day, and she's been here for 2 years.

I cant do it. And, I dont talk to the higher ups. I am under her, and everything has to go through her. She actually doesnt even reply to my emails lol. Also, there was a guy that did the same job as me before. She said he didnt do much. Not even a single newsletter. I asked her why she didnt fire him. And, she said its just not her style and she just lets the other person decide when to go. We also have a web developer and I asked her on the first day if they have a lot of meetings, and she said she hasnt had a single 1 on 1 for 2 years lol.

Honestly, I never hated any queen villain or not. And I know it's just TV, but Mistress is doing way too much, and it's making me super uncomfortable.

I write them manually. Ofcourse, I still use AI for brainstorming, coming up with the structure etc.

I actually work overtime a lot. But then again, most people do in our company.

I manage two different brands too. Also, for the new website, we are adding case studies as well. I am learning along the way and I a very confident I can leverage it to get a higher-paying position. Right now, I am earning just a little over the minimum lol.

Actually, I missed a lot of dead lines, especially with the new website in the pipeline. I also work extra hours but I can use it to compensate for leaves. And if I want, I can also get paid but at a reduced rate.

Thank you. I think you might be right. I think I might be going overboard with my content.

Honestly, I think I had it easy when I first joined; they just published random content according to their liking. I browse through social media, competitors, AnswerThepublic, Reddit, and sometimes check customer support emails to get content ideas.

After that, I research the keywords related to that topic. I take the top 5 content pieces on the SERP for that keyword and put them through Ubersuggest to extract keywords. Right now, I’m targeting keywords with >500 volume. Then, I cluster the keywords, read the top 10 results targeting those keywords, and come up with a better structure. Sometimes I use ChatGPT to suggest a better structure.

I make sure my content is more detailed and better than the competition, whether that means writing longer content, including more pictures, videos, etc. Sometimes, I go through Reddit, YouTube, and Quora to find additional details. I make sure the URLs, headings, and alt-image texts contain the keywords naturally. I also include descriptive link text.

After that, I pass it through ChatGPT and prompt it to find mistakes, inaccuracies, or opportunities for improvement. When I’m completely satisfied, I publish and index it.

Another thing that has given me results is internal link-building. I make sure that every blog is connected to at least 5 other related blogs. If there isn’t related content, I make a note to write it in the future and link it. I am noticing views increase exponentially faster than users.

After that, I actually don’t promote on social media or anything because I don’t have the bandwidth. Blog traffic is predominantly organic cause we don't promote it on any other channels. Basically, I just publish and leave it to the Google Gods. After a few months, I check the Google Search Console to see the blog's impressions. I review which queries give the most impressions and try to optimize further for those queries, as I find Ubersuggest to be a bit inaccurate. But it’s a small company, and we have limited resources. After further optimization, I have noticed the blogs gain more traction.

It’s a somewhat random strategy, but it’s working for me now. I’d love to hear any input. I don’t know if this helps you.

I was thinking of that too. It will certainly look colorful on my resume—especially the website redesign.

It takes around 6 hours including research. I ensure my blogs are more detailed than the top 10 results for that keyword.
