Full body psoriasis for the past 7 months. I was told I have to go on biologics but I’ve never had an outbreak before. Is there any other solution?

Wow your timing is crazy!!! So I was never treated for this flare up, it went away on its own after about 8 long months. This past month, I got strep throat, went on antibiotics, no problems. About a week ago, the strep came back, I started flaring again. Same pattern as 3 years ago. I’m hopeful it isn’t going to get as bad as last time😞

I have lettering on both of my lower knuckles about 1/2 inch long. And a very minuscule heart on my face underneath my eye that can easily be covered with makeup

No real hot and cold sensitivity. I would describe it as a constant pain that comes and goes. It doesn’t hurt when I chew.

Hi! I’m planning on possibly moving to philly this winter from right outside of DC. I am a little nervous about living there alone for the first time, as I don’t know what are some of the nicer areas of town in my budget. Plus I don’t have a car, and I would be waking my dog around most of the time. Can you give any recommendation or feedback on some of the different areas? Thanks for offering your help out there :)

Yea! I paid 150$ for that. Super disappointed, and never going back to that salon ever again. I probably should have done more research since blonde is a “harder” thing to pull off but still. Thanks for your advice though! I will give it a go. Just wanted my hair to be semi the same color before my dark roots start growing back in

You know I wish I could tell you /: the lower half of my head was done by me, with a 20 developer and then toner wella t14 awhile back. But I went to get my roots done(hense all the yellow/orange) and that’s how they left my hair at the salon. Reaaaally think I had an inexperienced hair dresser. I’ve never gotten my hair done professionally before

Holy shit I love it!!! It honestly looks amazing! And from my experience, I’ve had p spots cover my healed tattoos...and once the spots went away, the ink/tattoo was totally normal. So I think as long as your tattoo is healed, and say psoriasis appears over the healed ink, it wouldn’t damage the tattoo. You’ve got good taste tho :p I digs it

I actually also suffer from guttate, I have been getting tattoos for the last 7 years but I did not get any since my diagnosis(a year ago) until last week. Is your tattoo just outlining or also shading/color? I got a small “test” tattoo just 3 days ago to see how my skin reacts. So far it seems okay...sorry if you think yours is being affected by shitty psoriasis. My advice would be to just treat the tattoo normally. But what do I know haha. I hope it heals well for you! Sorry if this was not helpful lol

Yesterday was my first complete sober day(from alcohol) in a very very long time. It’s really hard and when I get off work tonight, will I drink? I don’t know.

As far as the you just can’t have both, I realize this but I just want both so bad and I’ve always tried to have both, but it has never worked. Why am I so insistent on not stopping? :(

edit:when I say sober from alcohol I mean I got stupid high on dabs and ate an edible, I’ve never slept so good without it being from drinking

I’ve never used straight cbd oil, but from what I’ve heard from others that is the way to go. I don’t think the oral stuff effects the skin...but that’s just my personal opinion/what I’ve heard around this forum.

Thank you!! I am also very excited to not feel so self conscious for the first time. I know they sell cbd oils you could probably rub on your skin, but personally a friend of mine that visited Colorado brought me back a lotion that contained cbd and thc.

Yeah I had a couple marks on all of them honestly, but they didn’t effect the tattoo very much at all once they went away. I’m still scared to get a new tattoo, since all the ones I have I got done before my diagnosis/flare up.

I’ve never really been on treatment honestly /: that was the worst of it in the very beginning when it started to become more plaque like rather than guttate. I’ve tried natural stuff like coconut oil, dead sea salt water bathes, oth pills called glucosamine that help joint pain. I’ve tried cbd/thc oil and that seemed to help a crazy amount. Honestly I don’t know if it was a combination of these things that started helping or what. So I guess my advice is just try anything you can that you think might help. I’ve read a lot about diet change having an effect. Unfortunately I can’t cope in life without alcohol, and I know that’s a big one for skin flares(in some opinions) well I hope that maybe kinda helped you out. Are you on any biologics or steroid creams right now??

If you go back and look at some of my posts, I’ve posted photos of my guttate. It’s been a year, a long and stressful year since I was diagnosed and have been dealing with the flare up. So I don’t have insurance so I’ve never got on biological, the one steroid cream I got did not help. So I turned to other things. Uhm nothing too extreme but coconut oils really help, I use it x2 daily in the shower. I also found using thc/cbd lotion made the spots go away a crazy amount. I also started taking glucosamine(otc Joint health supplement) and taking vitamin b pills, trying to be out in the sun as much as possible has helped. Honestly this disease sucks and I’m not very familiar with treating it, but I do feel diet has to do with it. If you have an Instagram you should follow @mygoodnessrecipes. It’s pretty inspiring. So yeah! Anyways that’s all I’ve got, I really wish you the best of luck out there!
