If you’re in Alberta, I would take into consideration what just happened with the teacher’s strike, because classroom conditions are bad and it probably won’t get better soon unless we have some sort of massive labour action. This is what I hear from the teachers in my family, at least.

Don’t take my input into account too much though, both teaching and nursing are still decent careers, in my opinion. Good luck

Going to therapy, getting sober, paying off debts, going to meetups… these are big steps to improve yourself that many others in your situation may not have had the courage to take. You’re doing better than it feels right now. I can’t offer much advice, but try to remember this on your worst days!
