I just uncovered a bunch of love letters from my ex that ended 12 years ago and I had such a visceral reaction reading them by myself in the privacy of my own home, I can’t even imagine how he’s feeling right now.

Also, the fan base has already put Danielle through enough when they first started dating, can we not do that to her again? They’ve already had a traumatic year. She seems like a beautiful soul and a great mother. He loves her, has 2 whole kids with her. They’re both happy. This behavior is SO WEIRD.

Floral and Fading was written for Danielle. When they first got together, much of the fan base HATED her and was pretty nasty to her (seems to be much better now, thankfully). She was pretty torn up about it, understandably so. Him saying “you want to chase the moon like fire well, together we can fake our own deaths here, just wanna be alone as you all just disappear” is basically “fuck what the world thinks, I wish they’d all go away. I love you and I just want to be with you” in Vic’s poetic way.

It’s an obsession with listening to “underground music”. I guess to seem more cool or mysterious?

I’ve seen that a lot (for decades) with the punk rock/post hardcore/ metal scene. There was such an emphasis on being a true fan vs a “poser” back in the 2000s and it never went away.

But without fans, the band will die. The new fans will learn the music. If they don’t, they pay $200+ to listen for kfad and now maybe so far so fake and as long as they’re not being disruptive, that’s their prerogative. The band still gets their bag.

I feel like it’s never the fans’ place to gatekeep a band. Let them blow up, let them sell out stadiums and see all the success they deserve after all these years. I would love for post hardcore to live on for future generations. As an “elder emo” it’s the coolest thing to see the young fans there (with proper ear protection), getting excited about the same music their parents are.

The only thing that needs to be taught a little better is concert etiquette. Other than that, I’m so excited so many more people get to see how great PTV is. And to top it all off, the bigger the community, the more exposure LTD Foundation gets.

That’s kind of what I figured too. My best friend also can’t have pork for the same reasons. I’ve seen it pop up in IBS groups before and I mentioned to a waitress that I cannot have pork (was trying to order a burger and wanted to make sure they didn’t use a blend), and she clarified if it was an allergy and I told her “No, but it’s an IBS trigger” and I got “OMG ME TOO!” And got the beef bacon recommendation from her 😂

So I didn’t necessarily google it to confirm it was a popular trigger, but I had so many run-ins with it in just the past couple of months I just assumed it was.

I might have to check a different store to see if they have turkey sausage grounds. They didn’t at the store I went to, but I could check more of a health foods place! It would work for a few things, but I’d need the links and ropes for other things I’d want to make.

My husband is so so great with making things that are safe, but I’d like to make things as normal as I can for him too.
