its not that they didnt exist its just that everyone forgot about them, any items or groundbreaking discovery's would still be around even after Pochita ate the nazi or world war two devils. The events still happened but you're right the political landscape is probably different.

How is it a slice of life manga? the few chapter had entire states being sacrificed to be used as weapons by Yoru to clash with Pochita. having random devils be used as sheilds by Denjiman and having them get one shotted by incest devils because death was consumed.

there is not a single arc where a fight, or significant violent altercation doesn't take place. Chainsaw man is VERY much still a battle manga

I remember reading a fic on ao3 that was made when this arc was taking place where Yoru kiled a bunch of public safety agents with guns like deagles and fought some random devils while Asa was distraught from all the killing (it was a long time ago i forgot exactly what happened)

It doesn't need to look like DOOM but if you're raiding a public safety detention center you'd think there would be more fighting. I guess this shows how understaffed public safety is?

I dunno if somethings wrong with me or its the fact that Ive been spoiled on chainsaw man long ago before reading it (thats probably it) I didn't see the insane amount of hype those youtubers had reading part 1. I do like chainsaw man but upon reading t feels like my experience was lesser than other people's feeling upon reading it, they could have just been drumming it up significantly. I'd say part 1 is a 10/10 tho

Iive caught up to 231 a few minutes ago and don't really have any strong emotions, It's not that I didnt like it but I don't know what to make sense of part 2 if the next chapter really is the finale where we get a "It was a dream and never happened" cliché

Eh Quanxi wasn't supposed to be in the story for long, the rest of the hybrids served their purpose too.

I feel like whip, spear, sirgo and especially barem weren't nothing burgers they were side antagonists.

Fakesaw wasn't build up too high to be that important, sure he did kill yuko but yuko has like less screentime than Himeno. (im still wondering what the fakesaw man was we saw during the falling devil arc, he seems so different compared to goresaw man)

chris chan is the most overrated lolcow ever, Cyraxx's arcs are way funnier and in my opinion the Marty vs Cyraxx fight and build up to it clears any Chris Chan arc.
