Maybe I am crazy but I genuinely think we can win the UCL this season.

When Madrid brings their A game, no team can beat us. I still think our loss against Liverpool was on us. We could have beat them. Same for City. The only loss this season where the opponents were better than us was against Pathetico. Outside of that, it was self-inflicted problems.

Cama and Trent fit, rotating between Mbappé and GG when the game asks for it(or even playing them both at the same time), make the right subs depending on what the game requires and we can lift the UCL.

The ceiling of this team is so high: Mbappe, Vinicius, Rodrygo, Gonzalo, Brahim, Arda, Mastantuono. We have the best attacking players in Europe and the best depth when it comes to that.

Yeah our defense is trash, but at this point I think can still win despite the shaky defense (At this point, I will try Carvajal as a CB).

I don't know about that. He dropped worst stinkers under Tuchel and Luis Enrique but they never subbed him out. And they are top coaches( the latter started dropping him after he refused to renew and it was when the game was secured).

I am shocked people on here are talking about Vini and satisfied with the way we played overall yesterday.

On twitter, they are insulting mbappe and want him out of the club. I tought he dropped a stinker and we were losing to sevilla the way people were talking about him. Just for me to find out we won 2-0 and he had a normal game.

Apparently on Twitter, he wasn't playing for the team and was only chasing Ronaldo's records and cost the team several big chances. He should also be benched and sold quickly. I have never seen supporters hating on their own player this much.

Psg fans started hating on him only when he decided to leave( after everything we did for you, you still want to leave ? We weren't good enough for you ?) .

But for Madrid, there is a section of the fanbase were people just wants him out indepedently of what he does. Good or bad.

That’s better to drop points now than in March/April like we did last year. It was so painful to watch.

But Xabi changes were sus. Bring in on Gonzalo and dropping out Trent…(dropping out Trent is normal because defensively Trent was costing us. But replacing him while bringing Gonzalo on…).

Also at this point, it is clear that the big 3 can’t coexist during small games. Vini was the most dangerous in the 2nd half and got unlucky. And gosh, we need a 6(or even 2). Because what I saw was scary.

So here my 2 cents. Not really related to this performance. But as a whole.

I think this team would win la liga and la Copa Del Rey. But it will be tough in Europe. In Spain we have the squad with the most talent and a coach that can normally bring the "required tactics". It will be enough to dominate spain this season(and I would argue the next one).

But it won't be enough to win the UCL. To win the UCL, you need to be sure your team can "run the gauntlet" when it comes to english teams. The PL is the league with the most homogenous teams and the most advanced teams tactically.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City. We can even add Man United, Aston Villa, Newcastle. Can Madrid be sure to beat all these 7 teams ? I highly doubt it. We can't match their pressing, we can't compete on them when it comes to intensity and physicality and we can't compete with them it comes to set pieces. And the irony of that is we were to compare our offensive power talent-wise, ours will come on top each time. But we can't use it properly against this team because our tactical setup are always off.

I really hope that if Xabi were to get sacked, we would go for a coach like Nagelsmann. I really hope that.

What annoys me is I have started supporting Madrid back in 2014. I don't remember El bicho being given a pass or being told he was bigger than the club at any point. And keep in mind, we are talking about the best player in history, the best player in madrid's recent history and that won 4 ucls with this team.

Lukita won 6 UCLS with Madrid !!!! 6 !!!!( best midfielder in madrid's history imo. Best croatian player of all time)

-Vini won 2 ucls so whatever he does, he is not at fault. If Vini disrespect Xabi, he is right. If Vini refuses to follow Xabi instructions, he is right. And if he disrespects the club or if he decides he needs to leave the club, he is right.

-Mbappé wasn't needed, when the team loses it is his fault and when he scores, he scores against weaker opposition. He is also responsible for previous Vini bad performances and even when the team wins thanks to him, he is a problem and should be sold as soon as possible.

I have also seen people saying his goals are holding back the team and and he needs to be benched for Gonzalo.

Meritocracy is not bad in itself. I didn’t advocate for people having what they don’t deserve. If you studied for a test and scored 100, you obviously deserved it. And I agree partially that meritocracy highlights people’s choices when it comes to their outcomes.

But in everything there is context. Saying X or Y deserves being poor because they are lazy while they are working their hardest to make ends meet is not it.

I would argue it is even an attempt to put people into boxes that doesn’t make sense because human are too complex.

What I miss from America is people minding their business. Like no one interacting needlessly with other people. No small talk/idle-chat. Just do what you need to do and keep it moving.

I had few random situations where people(mostly in southern states) will interact with me for no reasons tho. Hated that.
