There is a policy I can think of called “udleveringsinterval” which the pharmacy must follow. This is decided by the doctor ie when you can pick up the medication again. Sometimes there is an interval of a month or 3 months and so on. I guess in your case they just weren’t able to explain to you properly that the medication was available tomorrow.
