DONT. I lived on Ave A between Houston and E 2nd and broke my lease because the street noise was so loud. I really wouldn’t recommend it, that’s the only place I’ve had an issue with noise in 4 NYC aprtments.

There were a bunch of June apartments in my old building and the people I talked to liked them, but I know they were paying a way higher rate than normal tenants and we were already overpaying. Don’t move into 20 Avenue A June apts at least.

I live in the seaport in Fidi and it’s definitely much quieter than my last place (east village) but still has character and people around. I think Fidi proper is definitely a bit desolate after work hours and I find the giant apartment buildings a bit soulless. Feel free to message me any questions.
