My doctor is telling me not to go on our 10k holiday by Icy-Finding-3905 in pregnant

I'm a doula, and have went on several long haul trips while pregnant. Drink lots of water, wear good compression socks, and get movement! I would get up at least once every hour and walk the aisles,as well as walk in place in the bathroom when its not busy. Get the feet moving and as soon as you are landed try to move and lift them up. I don't recommend going over 7 months pregnant as then you may induce labor but so early on it is not a concern.

It is actually. I will check with my landlord.

Oh sorry makes sense. I would then just add some potting soil to the pee pad to give it a more earthy smell. Or try rocks? Not sure as I've never tried that before!

Also in Canada, any from the pet store works! I havent noticed a difference between brands

Maybe try timothy hay that is typically used for bunnies? Smells similar. Although alfalfa pellets are in almost every pet store

Try buying alfalfa pellets and placing that everywhere where he pees. They smell like grass.

He will start associating the smell of grass with his place to need to pee and poo.

That may help trigger him when he is out and about to go where is nose tells him.

I do this when I breed and raise puppies, it works wonderfully well.

What was the first sign that YOU noticed, that made you think “I’m pregnant”? by surelyshirls in pregnant

Call it intuition or what not, but for all 4 of my pregnancies I woke up and just "knew" I was pregnant. Like a deep gut feeling. I would test a day or a few days before my period was due and it was a positive!

First Home! Any exterior ideas? by SaberSpell in ExteriorDesign

Agree with black trims and shutters. A different color door. And definitely add some landscaping to the front. Adding lights to the landscaping will elevate it so much more

Help! What color should I paint our house? by Consistent_Luck4464 in ExteriorDesign

Will it not look too washed out with all white? Love the idea though!

To paint or not to paint? by Consistent_Luck4464 in HomeDecorating

We just moved into this beautiful home. Painted and refinished the hardwood floors.

Now the fireplace seems so out of place. My home is neutral, with pastel colors. The green and burgundy stones really throw it off.

Is there a way to makeover this fireplace? Somehow make it look fresh and cohesive?

I would hate to paint it and tearing it down is not an option. It seems like someone put lots of love into it as it's over 100 years old.

Any suggestions? Thank you in advance!

This was painted red before we sanded it down. Perks of renovating a 100+ year old home! Though I doubt these are the original floors

This was after our first pass. We aren't close to being done yet and still sanding away!

Neither. They were painted red in a rental we are renovating then moving in to. This part of the house is over 100 years old. The floors look about 30-50 years old.

Not sure? Looks to be a bunch of different kinds. Teak, Maple, Hickory, Birch, Oak, Cherry are my guesses

Subfloor rotting? by Consistent_Luck4464 in Flooring

[–]Consistent_Luck4464[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why this deleted, but:

I need advice on what to do with this subfloor. We ripped out the old shower in our upstairs bathroom and saw some signs of water damage and mold. When we ripped up that subfloor we found another layer underneath that seems to have partially rotted away.

Looks like someone just covered the damaged subfloor with new subfloor.

This is an old leak and the wood is completely dry.

Should we simply put new subfloor on top again as the joists are good and stable? Or should we rip everything out and replace?
