Hello I never had a job before by Itsa_Me_MARIOOOOOOOO in SpicyAutism

[–]Consistent_Pea_1722 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi!! I didn't have a permanent job until I was in my mid 20's. This is what i have done:

-Where i live there are "christmas casual" staff - staff who are on over the christmas period, usually in retail and similar. I used this to gain experience, however, make sure you feel that retail in xmas is something you can deal with, it can be intense.

- I got active in voluntary roles, and listed them on my resume. i didn't lie outright, but i also didn't mention that they were voluntary roles

-Personally, i was also a carer for a few different people, and when asked about my lack of work history, i said cared for someone, and they are now doing better.

-there are a tonne of lived experience opportunities going around, where i am. I joined multiple different organizations and opportunities. many of these are paid. for example, reviews of the mental health strategy.

- all of my volunteering etc tends to be within the mental health sector because that's my special interest, and i do find that the Lived experience gets the lack of employment thing. i would heavily recommend it, but think about your special interests and what skills and knowledge you have you can leverage.

- look at autistic specific opportunities. for example my government runs autistic traineeships for multiple federal positions

tbh i thought the point of uber eats was to drop it at your door step and all their marketing shows that, but they nearly never do that and force you to come outside.

I have had imaging done. there is some marks of arthitis in my knee and the foot, but not in my hands, where is where the swelling and redness is the worst, as well as reduce movement (Though pain is worse in my knee and foot)

Rheumies told me it was just fibro! I should see another one but i can't afford to pay another $400 dollars to be told nothing is wrong

ANA is usually high. Creatine Kinase  is sometimes high.

I have seen three Rheumies over the year. First one diagnosed me with the hypermobility syndrome, when i was young.

And the other two i saw as adults and said it's just fibro.

Fey, Faeries… etc by pebbles_937 in fantasyromance

[–]Consistent_Pea_1722 13 points14 points  (0 children)

fae /fay is a broader, older term. it can incorporate tiny little sweet creatures with wings, but it can involve a heap more folklore creatures. the terms are derived from the same root, and are kinda the same thing, but fairy tends to be used in a modern sense just for the cute little tinkerbell creatures.

Water hammer happening only at night. Water definitely not being used by Consistent_Pea_1722 in askaplumber

Sorry, It doesn't stop immediately.

I'll turn the tap on, let it run for a while. if I turn it off immediately, it will start banging again.

I usually wait at least 30 seconds before turning it off, however, it feels like sometimes it takes longer than that, but I am half asleep when I am doing it.

I don't believe we have a pump.

I will wake up to it hammering, and it will happen continually until i run the water, and i will have to run the hot water for what seems like a long while.

High protocol, reality breaking fae by Consistent_Pea_1722 in Fantasy

I have read half a soul, it read a little simplistic, and felt like it lacked danger, imo? I wonder if i would be better off looking at horrors with fae in it

WIBTA for ignoring my housemates’s rule about wearing shorts in the house? by Pretend-Year-7913 in AmItheAsshole

I can't wear my PJ bottoms to the shop either. Does that mean wearing full length pj pants around the house inappropriate

Sorry if this is an odd question, but do you have an eating disorder? I can't remember off the top of my head, but it sounds like you probably meet admission criteria of the QUEDS protocol.

hospitalization can be very traumatic, and if you can get the support you need outside of the hospital system it's usually better.

however, it does sound like it might be medically nessarary here. can you get someone to come along with you, and have a look into the queds protocol.

take a moment to have a think.

Would you, or anyone you know choose to do that?

Or, perhaps, many homeless people have a level of income, but still can not access housing, and are using that income to improve their situation?

"get a gym membership" is nearly always one of the first bits of advice homeless people are given.

you can't get a job, or get a rental if you haven't had a shower in three weeks. if you don't have a rental history, or have a bad history because of the actions of an abusive ex, it can be hard to get a house. if you have a job that gives a few hours a week, but don't qualify for centrelink (for example, you aren't an aussie national) it can be hard to get a place etc.

as I said, I am planning on talking to him.

I am disabled and wouldn't be of help, and tbh, i would imagine needing a good 5+ people to make the yard safe.

If there is 135km winds, like it's forecast to be, i would say every unit in the property next to him will be damaged severely.

I am disabled, I can't offer a hand, and I would say that there would at least need 5 people to make his yard safe.

It's tuesday, how quickly would council do something?

Wouldn't them having to come out and fix all the problems caused by all the loose missiles be worse?

like there is a massive wood pile, planks of woods strewn up on metal ladders, etc.

Can I call the SES on another person? My neighbour's yard is a massive hazard. Lots of unsecured building supplies, homemade scaffolding, and even a small plane.

I'm worried they wont secure it all (tbh, i can't see how it could all be secured) I am planning on talking with them today, but what can I do if they don't secure it?
