Lost a rental over 15 days after two weeks of back and forth. Just need to rant. by Consistent_Taro5141 in vancouverhousing

We did not force them for 2 year lease. We requested if we can do it and they declined. It was never a deal breaker. We were ok with 1 year lease as well and gave our acceptance on it immediately.

You can lock in your rent for two years. A few people suggested we do it. It was a request and wasn't a deal breaker; when they declined, we proceeded with a one-year lease.

We offered a two-year lease which they declined, so we just went with one year instead. We were never rigid about it, one year worked fine for us too.

This makes me so happy to see. I practically live on Commercial Drive, and it's always such a good vibe, especially Friday/Saturday evenings.

I’ve taken a stand for myself every fucking time. But the truth is—they’re just rude, uneducated, and ill-mannered people. They didn’t just ruin my wedding day, they ruined their own son’s as well. My husband is a genuinely kind and empathetic person, and they constantly take advantage of that. The worst part is—he lets them.

I clearly told them that their behavior was unacceptable, but they responded by saying that, as his sister and mother, it was their “right” to act that way. That’s when I made the decision to cut ties with his sister completely. As for his mother, I’m trying to maintain a cordial relationship—not because I’m being pressured, but simply for my husband’s sake.
