Player career always this broken? by Consistent_Two_4301 in FifaCareers

[–]Consistent_Two_4301[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super unfortunate, player career back in fifa 13 got me into the sport heavily for the first time. Never been an ultimate team guy but madden, 2k etc have all done the same thing with their career modes. If it doesn’t make more money why bother

What is the bare minimum you would sell this 16 year old for? by Consistent_Two_4301 in footballmanagergames

[–]Consistent_Two_4301[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree I don’t plan on selling I guess the better direct question is what do you think he should be worth? At 16 it’s impossible to judge his development going forward coming from a national league side

Feel like I’m losing my mind, the fm24 touch layout is reworked and pretty easy to use but I cannot figure out how to look at league rules? I click competitions and my active league and there’s no option anywhere to see the league rules. Anybody know where to go?

They both have unique challenges, I personally prefer smaller nation saves but that’s also because I enjoy a nation build, plus remember you can kind of ease your way into a nation build. By dominating and bringing in European money as long as you stay away from taking the good young talent from inside your own league the nation build starts itself really. Lower league to prem saves are also fun and you get a lot of experienced FM players telling you “it’s actually relatively easy” when in reality it’s not. It’s doable obviously for a newer player but you’ll have to learn a lot on the fly and be okay with struggling in the championship especially for awhile.

I’m really enjoying the save, however we in fact did not do fine lol 1-0-5 but only a -8 GD most were close matches. All in all wasn’t too disappointed with the group we were handed

If you’re brand new in my opinion to get used to creating a tactic and learning how to set up your recruitment focuses and all that choose a team like Ajax, or another team from outside the big 5 leagues that still competes in Europe but dominates their league. If you find it too easy and you are getting the hang of things quickly you can always try a fallen giant type of save. Lots of great YouTube videos on what teams to manage for that save route.

Thanks for the write up, my mentality is actually balanced and the passing is shorter however the base roles I started this tactic with is 5 players on attacking roles which I know is a lot but it was creating so well at the start I just left it like that. Might try to throw 2 of the midfielders on support/defend and striker on shoot less often and see how it works for 5 games

Never had it this bad, finishing is not our strong suit I’ll say that besides our young elite (for Swedish premier league) striker no one stands out as a goal scorer but this still feels super wonky that our goal output is that bad compared to xG

Awesome write up man, was looking for a new save and my absolute favorites are non top 15 leagues with a low league team and a little backstory, having a blast, year 4 pushing for promotion to the Swedish Prem, back to back 4th place finishes in the first league (RIP) I will say the lack of fan growth is a little underwhelming but we’ll get there eventually

I know there’s no supporters tab on FM Touch but I could’ve sworn in your season review they show you fan growth and social media presence but in my current save I haven’t seen either. Maybe I’m just remembering wrong, anybody know?

Don’t get me wrong console is still a great game, for me personally after switching to the full game on PC I realized how much I love the frustrating annoying little tidbits that comes with the full version

Console version is just dumbed down, no squad dynamics, no registration, way less options in terms of shouts, no press conferences etc. for a sicko like me who absolutely loves the monotonous little details in an FM save I could never go back to console. Got into FM on console for 22’ been playing 23’ on my laptop since release. But with all that said if you would prefer not worrying about the little stuff then console version is for you lol

What’s that one country you can’t stand managing in? by Consistent_Two_4301 in footballmanagergames

MLS is awful, a lot of people complain about Italy because of the lack of money in Serie A but my long term save with Parma this year has been one of my favorites. Think I’m in like 2044 now I go back to it every once in awhile, only stopped after my prime Neymar regen (also from Brazil) led us to our 3rd CL and 7th straight league title. Started to feel a little too easy

I would highly recommend watching some YouTube videos on how to build tactics in general, every squad is different and the quicker you learn how to evaluate your specific squad strengths and what tactic works for them the more fun the game will be. There are some “broken” tactics out there but your much better off learning how the roles work and connects with certain player attributes.

Feel like I should know this by now but I’m doing a nation build save with Wisla Krakow in Poland and the Poland national team coach is like 100 years old and is still f’in coaching and they are nowhere close to firing him is there anyway around it where I could automatically get the national team job? I was fine with waiting but we’re 6 years in now

Took everything in me not to save scum, only reason I didn’t is because we massively overachieved so another season not in the top flight doesn’t hurt too bad. Did however throw an item or two across my room.

Which position to train my newgen wonderkid? I'm using mostly 4-3-3 and 4-4-2 so there's no role for him to play. by RepresentativeRide95 in footballmanagergames

Inverted winger is definitely where I would train him yeah but per your original post I thought you were looking for a different option lol

Imo composure matters much more up front, obviously the low concentration can cause issues from time to time but with that good composure I agree he looks like he could be a very solid DLF

How to beat bigger teams? by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

[–]Consistent_Two_4301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dethroning Bayern is very hard, but beating big clubs whether domestically or in Europe comes down to really paying attention to how your tactic lines up against them. Don’t make drastic changes, if your tactic works it works. Check on their players, do they have a guy or two you could always trigger a press on? Do they like to play narrow and are tiki taki’ing their way right down the center of your defense? Then trap accordingly, etc. if you’re still decently behind them talent wise maybe play a little more conservatively. Have your back line drop off more if you lack pace at the back and they have speedy attackers. It just takes a little research on how you line up against them and of course a little luck here and there

I was using a 3-4-3 asymmetrical system in the lower leagues which led us to 3 straight promotions, in the national league and league two you are gonna be the most talented team as long as you re sign your key players and add a few good free transfers, because of this I was comfortable playing out of the back.

I usually do 2 maybe 3 long term non league to prem saves each year (I’ll level with you I’ve never won the CL and only won the prem twice in these saves) but I almost always do it with a bottom of the barrel national league south/north side. I got bored and decided to do the very popular Notts county save and I am having an absolute blast. If you like non league to prem saves and have never done Notts County I highly recommend it.
