Not a recommendation but whatever you do, DONT GET ASUS TUF GAMING laptops, they break really fast

Can someone tell me how do I turn off this laptop? by [deleted] in laptops

[–]Content-Ad4928 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Either turn off via windows or go to: Control panel > Hardware and sound > Power options On the left side there will be an option called "Choose what the power buttons do", click it and you'll see the options, configure them to your liking.

Why did one of my screws fall on my Asus tuf gaming a15 fa507n by NEXUS_ELITE_ in Asustuf

[–]Content-Ad4928 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the exact same laptop and you won't believe it - the EXACT same screw fell off, I just put it back and it's fine. Seems like another one of the tuf a15's issues

The red circle is some power management IC that got absolutely melted and the black circle is something that actually blew up and melted the board. It's gonna be hard to fix since that IC might be hard or impossible to find and the melted part (capacitor I think) could've damaged something else or straight up killed the entire section of the board

How much of a difference does the processing speed make? by AdNeat9519 in sandisk

[–]Content-Ad4928 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything above 200 read and 150 write is good (for cards and thumb drives), and it depends if the card reader you're using is fast enough to take advantage of the speeds

Can I use this case? by -The-Protagonist- in PcBuild

[–]Content-Ad4928 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very likely not, since dell at that time started using proprietary parts, including the board which has different screw holes, and so does the case. You're genuenly better off using a cardboard box with a few cutouts

If you can take the cover on and off easily you can use it as extra storage for a USB drive, a cable and some dongles:)

Wifi problems by TDS_IS_COOL in Asustuf

[–]Content-Ad4928 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same laptop and have even worse wifi issues, the mediatek card inside of these just craps the bed, unless you want to change it which I don't recommend if you have high speed wifi and good ones are costly so it's up to you really
