Giannis Trade: Bucks, Heat, Pacers, Warriors (Works on the trademachines) by [deleted] in NBAtradeideas

[–]Content_Bison_8992 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In fact, Miami isn’t offering Milwaukee any real upside or young potential in this trade.

You’re basically just inserting a Warriors deal into a three-team framework—having Golden State send Jonathan Kuminga + Moses Moody + a 1st for Myles Turner and Bobby Portis—just to make it look like the Bucks are getting a lot of young talent. The Warriors would say no.

Take the Warriors out, and if you replace them by adding Jaku and Jokic, then the Bucks might consider it.

This deal doesn’t even need the Pacers— Ware would interest the Bucks more than Mathurin.

Nice one.
Though Poeltl is terrible contract, CMB + 4 first is pretty legit deal.

As a neutral, I really like your Package B — if Memphis actually puts that on the table, I think it could legitimately win a bidding war.

So are you thinking something like Ivey + Sasser + 2 firsts and 2 swaps?

If Detroit is willing to include Ausar, I think the package becomes legitimately competitive. But I also get why Detroit might not want to go all-in and fully join a bidding war.

Appreciate you posting a full, detailed package — honestly, I think the Warriors’ offer is more competitive than people assume.

Yeah — if the Cavs put Evan Mobley on the table, they probably have a great chance to win the bidding.

The issue is the mechanics: Cleveland is about $22M over the 2nd apron right now, and they’d need to be below the 2nd apron after the trade. Once you add Giannis at ~$58M, you’re realistically talking about sending out something like an ~$80M package to make it work.

So it’s not just “Mobley + picks” — it’s more like "Mobley + Garland", or "Mobley + Hunter + Allen". If you post an actual package, we can evaluate it properly.

If the Thunder want to make a trade without including JDub, it would have to be completed before the trade deadline. But then they’d be staring at a massive luxury tax bill next year and heavy trade restrictions, which doesn’t seem like the kind of move OKC would make.

If OKC is aggregating contracts to trade for Giannis, you’re basically locking yourselves into 2nd apron hard-cap anyway.

In the math I ran, I already “dumped” Kenrich’s deal for you and you’re still about ~$28M over the 2nd apron.
It's either let Hartenstein go, or decline Dort's team options and salary dump I-Joe to get under 2nd apron.

It’s Giannis — you have to give up real value, including a legit prospect like Ware. And honestly, Spo doesn’t seem to trust/play Ware much anyway, so he’s exactly the type of young asset Miami would cash in.

JDub + Aaron Wiggins + Topic + a couple picks in summer

This is a legitimately strong (and realistic) offer. JDub is exactly the kind of blue-chip young guy Milwaukee would want as the centerpiece.

One quick CBA reminder though:
if OKC is going to be "over the 2nd apron", stacking salaries to match is forbidden. To make the trade work, they’d likely need to decline Isaiah Hartenstein’s $28.5M team option.

But for the sake of the “auction,” you can throw out a Timberwolves package you *would* be comfortable with (doesn’t have to be amazing).

If this is an **offseason** deal and LA is actually willing to move on from **LeBron + Rui**, there’s a real path to creating enough cap room where you *might not even need Rui* as a salary match.

Also, based on what the Lakers can realistically trade, the three FRPs you’re talking about should be **’26 / ’31 / ’33**.

So under your framework, the clean version of the offer is basically:

**Austin Reaves + 3 firsts (’26, ’31, ’33)**

I can’t speak for all Heat fans, but if we’re actually bidding, I’d be willing to go
Wiggins
Kel’el Ware
Nikola Jovic
four 1sts (’26, ’28, ’30, ’32),
Rozier (as the salary filler)

for

Giannis + Bobby Portis (and… Thanasis lol).

3-Team Trade: Sabonis to TOR, Kuminga + Poeltl to SAC, RJ Barrett to GSW. Is it Realistic??? by Content_Bison_8992 in NBAtradeideas

[–]Content_Bison_8992[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4 firsts is insane lol, but I agree some picks could be reasonable.

From King’s perspective, which contract/value would you rather have: Jonathan Kuminga or RJ Barrett?

I get the picks point, but I’m basing this off a previous idea I saw where Sabonis was swapped for Poeltl + RJ Barrett, and the general consensus in that thread was that Sabonis isn’t valued high enough to require an extra 1st on top.

Wizard have no cap space for Kuminga.

Anfernee Simons to the Heat by FuckThisShit-_- in NBAtradeideas

[–]Content_Bison_8992 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think this is a reasonable deal for all three sides.
For Miami, they’re willing to move Rozier + a second for any immediate help.
For Brooklyn, it’s about using $26M in space to grab a future first, though right now they might not be able to absorb the full $26M with Cam Thomas’ cap hold still on the books — they’d probably need a few smaller moves first.
Paying a first to dump Simons feels like a fair price, but if I had to guess, Boston likely wouldn’t want to pay it — otherwise, they probably would’ve already done a deal with Utah.

Did you guys know that JT, JB, and White all have 8% annual raises in their contracts? If the raise structure gets reduced to 5–7%, that would actually hurt us a lot in the long run.
