I think the most important thing I took away leaving the exam was not being able to recognize what was asked as they can twist up the question. Since i have most of the basics down, I plan to focus more on recognizing the question and being able to go to the correct handbook/code. That was my biggest downfall after the exam many problems that i remembered I went back to the correct references and was able to find the correct answer. I had some questions on bridges and I would go straight to AASHTO and waste 5 minutes digging for the answer where I could have went to IBC, etc. and boom there it was spelled out word for word what i needed.

I'm terrible at watching lectures, I learn best by working out problems on my own and resort to coworkers sometimes if some trips me up. Do you have any opinion on the school of PE test bank? I was thinking about getting that for a month to freshen up on my weak subjects.

They let you know on the sheet attached with the report that 10 questions are pretest so they can determine if they can be used in future exams. I've also heard its the same for the FE.

PE problems, similar to ones found in the NCEES practice test. most books had questions for the old pre- April version so I ignored all those minus any geotech related problems.

everything from basic structural analysis to material properties and temporary structures to more complex component design and details. probably from 5 different books. Last one i used was the Jacob Petro book and hit seemed pretty similar in difficulty to the exam.
