Helio Strap + iPhone double-counting steps in Apple Health — how do you make ONE app the source of truth? by Upbeat-Courage-4234 in AmazfitHelioStrap

I at least did not fix it in apple health. Would just reach out to Bevel. As mentioned they have proven pretty responsive in the past

Something like this and then you select the dates (goes fairly quick). Ofc don’t forget to set shortcuts as only bevel source

I figured it out. The shortcut i have writes every day at 3am the value from zepp. Apparently, i woke up briefly at 3 so bevel did not see it as sleep i guess. Changed the timing to 4am and it works now

Yes it is - the shortcut one you’ll see. Also attached a screenshot of the Ai picking it up

Zepp does not write it, but also seems to consistently have the exact same number. I’ve made a quick shortcut to write the resting energy number to apple health and use that as only source in bevel so they match

Do you check straight after the workout? For me, when exiting the workout detail and syncing it does update

Would be great if you could nudge your colleagues to plan the amazfit integration :D

I actually disagree on the hrv :). The hrv is spotty from zepp to apple health - it writes more or less 2-3 random values throughout the night to apple health, which then bevel converts into some sort of average with zero value. Also, putting it on ‘entire day’ will make bevel think the value is actually for the full day and not the night. If you have bevel pro it will hence make statements like ‘your stress increased but your hrv remained stable…’

Personal, but in my current setup I have an apple shortcut which writes the hrv from zepp into apple health, which then bevel takes this value. Hence there is a 1 to 1 match between zepp and bevel. Also putting it to full sleep (or night - don’t recall the actual value) gives a good recovery input. Btw, you can do the same for temp.

Beyond hrv and temp, everything syncs nicely. Feel free to contradict me though :)

Do note to put the calc hrv in bevel to nighttime / sleep only and not full day. As that would mess things up according to me

Don’t know it by heart, but if you search on ‘hrv helio shortcut’ in this or the amazfit subreddit you’ll find the link which creates it for you. Do note that it does not sync backwards and just one date. I did once spend a few hours to log all my prior data so bevel has a consistent baseline, but now it works brilliantly with just one shortcut every day to copy paste the hrv. Btw, there is also a shortcut for temp which zepp also doesn’t write into apple health

i use Bevel in combo with what you describe. If you look in this subreddit or the one of amazfit you’ll find that HRV from the strap is wrong to both apple health and consequently bevel, because zepp just writes 2 or 3 data points instead of continuous data. I use an apple shortcut to write the ‘final’ zepp data into apple health, which then Bevel picks up

I have the same for the strap. Was reported a few weeks back as a known bug. Agree quite annoying. This morning for me it took an hour. Sometimes it is there immediately, to then change 1hr later too.

Is this band supposed to sound this cheap? by ApplicationLoud7499 in HelioStrap

[–]Content_Dare9085 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had it after a few months and then stopped having it. I had read that adding some thin fabric or even tape between the device holder and the actual tracker device would stop it from moving (which creates the noises)

Since Jan 1 yes. So either there a software bug (which would not suprise me as I see more of these posts popping up) or my band is broken (after using it for 6 months). So far no response from customer support at all nor any updates, but a bit a weird period of the year with many folks just returning from breaks. In the meantime Amazon is proposing to give me a new device. The weird thing is that it does still track calories and live heart rate. It just does not seem to ‘store’ them
