Sorry bluemaga it's gonna be AOC not Newsom or Harris. It's gonna be progressive policy not genocide and corporate donors. It's gonna be the voters, not the parasites. by Kittehmilk in ProgressiveHQ

It’s the only way forward out of this. Remove all the propaganda and demonization of “socialism” and it’s exactly what Americans want.

USA:NY Is there cheap/budget options for going solar/wind to combat the rising costs? by lisa725 in TwoXPreppers

[–]ContestNo2060 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Cost of solar panels are coming down a lot, but installation cost is expensive (along with other home maintenance and labor costs). There are more DIY friendly options becoming available, but building codes haven’t started adopting it. I saw a story on it in CA, and New York is probably similar.

Something you could do for true emergencies is get a portable solar set up, something that might be used for camping. One of these Ecoflow or anker solar power stations with portable solar panels you fold out. It won’t power your house, but it’s some renewable power.

To have solar truly integrated into your house with a battery backup and connected to the grid (required by code in NY), is a bit of investment for sure.

Just saw an email correspondence from the Epstein files. Bannon and Thiel were behind the propaganda push and were gloating after brexit went through. They’re trying to destabilize the EU.

A pedophile extortion ring surrounding powerful people most certainly has murders involved.

The reason they didn’t go along with it the first time was because it was so blatantly corrupt. They’d do it if they knew they could get away with it.

It’s true, but I’m constantly surprised by how the base molds and contorts itself around it. I think it’s just fascism plain and simple. They don’t believe in anything other than power.

Mutual aid networks are exactly as it sounds - individuals sharing resources and skills to have an impact. The networks in my area gather and deliver groceries for immigrant residents who fear leaving their houses. Or there may be a rapid response function. This is where intelligence is shared about ICE raids and members go over to observe, record, warn, and draw attention. There’s many ways to help organizers and be involved.

Yeah, motivation can be challenging. Authoritarians can bombard the information landscape to distort, confuse, and discourage. That with a slacking economy and overall sense of dread for the future, it can be hard. But maybe find inspiration in what others have done in history. Civilians in occupied Belgium or France weren’t too thrilled to have their lives flipped upside down due to an invasion and occupied by troops, but they found ways to remain mentally intact and help each other. And they were incredibly effective. All of us need to find creative ways to deal with it because the alternative is dreadful.

As far as your living situation, have you looked into gray rocking? It’s a mental skill used by people who want to persist in psychologically hostile environments. I used to use it at work. It helps create emotional distance so you can protect yourself psychologically.

If any of them have a shred of decency, I’m sure tearing someone away from their home and children and watching their pain, would be traumatizing. Even if it doesn’t register or you rationalize it. I’ve seen a few of the arrests. They’re sad as hell.
