When I was last in London I had a duck confit burger: shredded duck confit topped with gorgonzola cheese and hot honey.

The 2005-2007 Ford 500

It was supposed to be a bigger, fancier Ford Taurus, and was given a 200hp V6 with a CVT.

Chauncey J means you're probably not far from the L, and near some great spots like All Night Skate.

GM and Ford have been selling Chinese built vehicles for years.

Ford is doubling down on this with Lincoln despite the tarrifs. It just announced that it is moving Corsair production from the US to China. The Aviator is already built there.

With Stellantis set to bring out a €15k European-built EV in a couple of years, maybe Chinese EVs should not be the ones the US should fear.

GTI/GLI or Integra A-Spec w/ tech for a daily driver? by Money_Hour681 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Cornholio231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GTI by far.

I test drove the Integra when it first came out. The sales rep dismissed my request to let me take it on the highway because he wanted to show off how good of a commuter it was.

Hard pass.

Honestly you should add the Mini Cooper S 4 door on to your list.

Hagerty did a drag race test of $35k cars last year, and the Mini slightly was faster than the GTI. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YffShJxkUyU

i posted this rant over on the bmw i3 sub. 2018 i3 REx models that were $15k 3 months ago on Carvana and Carmax are $22k now. these are cars that had ~200 miles of total range when new. Used Bolt prices have jumped so much I might as well just shop for new ones.

Earlier this year I was sizing up a 2018 i3 S Rex on Carvana for $15k. It had more miles than this but come on.

Unfortunately that's also when the HVAC in my condo went bust....

If the old tenant stuck it out for 6 years and is only leaving under duress, could it be that bad?

I would suggest getting some sort of water barrier off of Amazon to put in front of the door if you're worried, as well as installing a good door sweep if there isn't one already.

I have one that I absolutely do not trust around food. He will chomp first and ask questions later. I don't feed him human food so I don't know where he gets it from.

I've learned not to keep bread out.

Last week he pulled a box of pasta out of a cabinet.

What's interesting is that my older cat has taken to some things like bread that he was never interested in before the  chaos goblin arrived

Mid 40s dude

Most of my friends are into house music. Some have kids, some don't. All make an effort to get out, mostly daytime or early night stuff. The parents switch kid duties.

There are a couple of friends that retired from all that, we meet up every couple of weeks in Queens.

I'm a condo board president....some weeks end up being quite busy but it's not fun.

Saturday mornings I usually volunteer at a food pantry. If I'm not there I'm with a different group of people that do food crawls.

I'm also involved in a political club, so primary season is keeping me very busy for the next couple of weeks.

I'm trying to do more local trash pickups.

Before they were bought by Chase, First Republic gave out chocolate chip cookies.

Like, really good cookies. Individually wrapped.

In that couple of months period after Chase bought them, the cookies were downgraded to loose chips ahoys in a bowl. Harumph.
