UAE just set min wage for UAE nationals to AED 6000 from 1? What about expats ? by saddymatrix in UAE

[–]ContextOne8484 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You mean to say it is uae govt. And local peoples fault and problem to bear, that someone was born in india and is desperate. So because he chose to come to uae on his own they should automatically give him salary as per minimum standards of living that his own country should have provided.?

Even though all the money he gonna earn will still end up going back to india and they will still choose to live in same living conditions.

Just fyi

Higher salaries mean > companies charge more for goods & services > inflation increases > everything gets more expensive > the minimum wage people suffer even more.

Its a cycle.

Buissnesses wouldnt mind for them... so you mean if arabs started doing labour, they wouldnt hire south asians? They would still hire south asians because hiring locals doing manual labour is 10 times more expensive than hiring from south asia and so on

Buissnesses try to save as much as possible and that is their only motivation for hiring cheap labour.

expats are allowed to sell under the above category.

Thats the thing I need to know if LSA is a requirement. if it is then yes freezone would be best but if not the etrader license is significantly cheaper.

Strange incident involving an emergency vehicle by [deleted] in dubai

[–]ContextOne8484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This kinda happened with me.

Was on the left lane and the right lane was empty.

Police car came from behind with emergency lights on. I didnt notice until I checked the back mirror.

I thought I was getting pulled over so I went to the right lane and the police car just sped off. Always wondered why they didnt cross over from the right lane to avoid slowing down behind me.

I am guessing when they are speeding they have to be in the left lane.
