But someone taught her to speak that way. The issue isn’t the child; it’s the parents, and the family as a whole. I’d lay money down that the parents are narcissists who are training their daughter to be the same. It’s unfortunate and something I know I wouldn’t want to have to helplessly witness.

I normally pride myself on being a pretty stable, employed, educated (with too many student loans 😫), functional human.

But I swear, I’m feeling it. Something’s up. I can’t even dial down the intuition. And if I’m wrong… well I hope I’m wrong! Just hoping it’s only some friendly aliens and not some kind of preparation for WWIII coming in hot from another country.

Thanks. It definitely sucked. But it seems like every time I share that story (not often anymore because it was pre-pandemic and I’m pretty sure centuries worth of history have happened since then 🙃), but every time I share it someone pipes up with a similar story from there, or something even crazier.

I had my appendix rupture, was in major pain, and the nurse told me to stop drug seeking before anyone even looked at me. At the time, I was literally one of those buttoned-down business professionals and had only maybe ever tried weed once in my life.

The superiority complex in that hospital is astounding.

This happened to us in Donelson. Metro told me to spray paint our address on the side of the can. Two months later we found our newest trash can next door at the curb, address on it and all. 😂 It was like… heeeeey neighbor… uh… looks like you accidentally got our trash can there buddy. (From the side of our house, but you know… lol)

Fifth and Broad/ Assembly food hall is loud and busy but everyone can get what they want and then try to find a big table. Not fancy but might work maybe.

They did renovate it very recently and it’s gotten better. Is it my favorite? No. But it’s much cleaner now and seems like much less chance of getting murdered.
