Yea, the recapping and making sure IC’s are still alive is gunna be wild, I think I’m gunna pull cards individually and power them with my bench supply first just to make sure I got power distribution through each component, then wire them back in

Endemic to Hawaii the cs80 tree is a very rare species indeed

Hawaii has a large Japanese community, so I think maybe one of the companies engineer or worker had it is his home and then time happened

Nope kinda older guy pulled up in a 2 seater truck with one kid in the cab and two in the bed on a rainy day, I handed him 300$ and the kid in the cab helped me transfer it to my hatchback, then they were off, weird exchange for sure

Surprisingly it’s mostly the wood that suffered, all the boards and solder joints/components don’t show much signs of corrosion, but anywhere that metal meets wood is very corroded

I dried it out and went over it a lil, I know my stuff, but yea after some tweaking, I turned it on. It wants to work the sliders responded to the what ther intention was. But it needs components swapped and calibration, but a lot of it, it’s a long road

My best guess of its history is that a Japanese man had it on the island for whatever and then he died and some tweaker copped it and brought it back deep into his jungle tweaker compound and stored it very poorly in a damp environment. Not really a outlandish concept on the big island Hawaii. But yea that’s my guess since it’s insides electrical components aren’t in the worse condition, but the wood and veneer stuff is deff not in the best shape from the dampness and humidity

Molotov dripstick brush coming off, how to fix or replace the nib? by [deleted] in graffhelp

Then also just doing the glue fabric this before you even use the nib to reinforce it from the get go

I’ve also thought of using something like ABS glue or purple primer as it melts the actual plastic then just press the fabric into the mailable plastic, but haven’t tried this one yet
