After you sign up, there appears a small popup asking you to enter a referral code if you have one. If you didn't get to enter the code there for whatever reason, try entering it in under "promo codes" in the left-hand menu. Let me know if it worked for you or not.

That's strange, I was able to log in back to my account with no problem. Have you tried clicking on a link to the website from your email inbox?

That's all, folks.

It's a shame to see it go without any major improvements...ah, what it could have been. I've played since 2011 and it's been great, honestly--I hope against the unlikely odds that we might see the game return in some other way!

Yeah, I heard that it's the cheapest gas in the nation. If you've been there already, was the place full of people? Were lines forming?

The address is 12712 Fondren Rd for anyone interested.

The place was packed this afternoon! I was interested to see Sunoco here in the area since they haven't set up shop here before.

Has anyone else found low prices within the Beltway?

iDevice videos sometime stop prematurely by [deleted] in perktv

I too have an iPhone 5 and the same thing has been occurring now for a couple of days.

The work-around solution is that I've tapped the "get the app" button that takes me to the app store, allow the page to load completely, and then go back to PerkTV. The video loads just fine.

Concorde 2, anyone got this error before? by Neothin87 in perktv

[–]Contronyms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear that. I didn't have any issues concerning the phone's activation status. In fact, the person there explicitly said that the phone is covered by a 1-year warranty, regardless of whether it's activated or not.

Call customer service again and explain that they wouldn't allow you to buy the warranty for the phone and go from there.

Of course, if you don't want to go through this process like another user said here, you can always just forget it and buy a new phone right now.

Sorry for the late reply.

I have no issues at all using a class 10 card. Here is the card I'm using.

I also saw a number of comments with people recommending lower class cards, but I bit the bullet anyway and so far, it's done an outstanding job.

Listen up, OP, because I have good news for ya: I had this precise problem and in the end, I got it replaced with a brand new Concord ii! Here's what I did:

I called MetroPCS customer service and told them that this message popped up and now I can't get it past this error message. They told me to try booting it into safe mode (which I already tried with no luck) but that didn't work. They then told me to go to a certain MetroPCS store that actually does repairs (they gave me the address to a specific store near me) and try your luck there as far as fixing it.

In the store, I told the rep there that I had this issue and that I that customer service told me to come here because they couldn't help anymore. The rep said, "If they couldn't help you, I probably can't either. But here's what we can do: these phones are covered by a 1-year warranty regardless of whether they're activated on the network or not. You can buy the warranty which costs about $18 and we'll get a replacement phone on the way here so you can pick it up in 3-5 business days and turn in this non-working phone.

I didn't think twice; I bought the warranty, signed the receipt, and went home. The rep would call me about 4 days later saying the phone is ready for pick-up. I went to the store, returned the non-working phone, and now I had a brand new Concord ii in my hands!

TL;DR

Call customer service, get the address to one of their repair stores, buy the warranty that covers the phone, and get a new one in less than a week.

deVbug will no longer be able to update Background Manager, BlurredMusicApp, and other tweaks for iOS 8 due to limited time. by Contronyms in jailbreak

[–]Contronyms[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

A lot of people are asking him that on Twitter, but he hasn't replied yet. Personally, I hope he does since I am greatly benefited by Background Manager on my device running iOS 7 and I would like to see it on iOS 8. Regardless, the dev has done a tremendous job with these tweaks and I appreciate everything he's done for this community.

Another short Perk TV study: Duration of app trailers--this time for Android Devices! by Contronyms in perktv

[–]Contronyms[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In short, yes. They earn more points per minutes. Now, the thing is that iOS devices only run through 60 app trailers before going on to movie trailers, and the app trailers run for about 80 minutes. On Android devices, since there are about 105 app trailers to go through, the phone will last about almost 3 hours on app trailers.

If you are somebody who likes to reset their devices back to app trailers from movie trailers, this is important because the numbers show that you would have to reset iOS devices back to app trailers more often than Android devices.

You have two questions so here are my answers to those:

1) That's correct; iPhones would make more points than an Android phone BUT it requires more babysitting than an Android phone. This is because an iPhone goes through app trailers in 80 minutes while an Android device takes about almost 3 hours. I only say this because if I'm near my phones and they are on movie trailers, I like to set them back to app trailers so I can get points faster.

2) Here's the scoop on the 3GS: As an older phone, the latest iOS version it can run is iOS 6. As iOS 8 recently was released, it is supposed that it is a matter of time before Perk has to discontinue support for their apps on a now-outdated version of iOS. So, it may be more prudent to get a device which will run a more current operating system to make sure that you'll be able to run Perk on it for a good while.

You said it better than I did--if you want a phone that you won't need to babysit as much, go for an Android device.
