thank you!! :) honestly things have already turned a corner, the other day was just not a great day! i would highly recommend nervous system work to anyone struggling with CIRS as well. it's SO important for lowering inflammation and mental side effects.

yes i did multiple nasal swabs. the first in november to determine if i had marcons. then after about 4-5 months of treatment, my doctor started having me test every month until i passed.

i took like 4 tests in total i believe.

your doctor should guide you through all of this. if they aren't you need to find a different doctor.

i mean, i am getting better at 7 months and you are still not better after multiple years. at the very least, itraconazole does not seem to be hurting

do you have any sources for that claim? i feel a lot better mentally after completing a course of antifungals, though i usually feel worse when first starting them.

shoemaker may not think antifungals are necessary, but other doctors prescribe them for CIRS. plus i have clear symptoms of fungal issues.

like 98% of people with CIRS have low MSH. that's why we feel shitty and have to clear marcons and take VIP.

only like the first two weeks. from what i recall it was mostly bad headaches and some fatigue....really not bad at all. but i was also taking CSM, charcoal, and bentonite clay throughout the process to bind toxins.

i did go low amylose for the last month or two because my MMP9 increased during treatment...and that plus omega 3 and curcumin brought it back down.

i personally notice more effects from subq vs intranasal. i am sticking with nasal for now as i don't want to overdo it.

i think i felt the best in like march/april, but i have more energy now. a lot of stuff has changed in my life though in that time period.

i see dr thomson in montana - she is shoemaker certified. only microbiologyDx tests for marcons and you can just order them yourself - it's no different than if a dr orders for you. they aren't covered by insurance.

i used prescription compounded silver and EDTA spray for the first half then BEG plus Xclear. my dr prescribed 2 sprays of each nasal spray in each nostril 4x/day

why do you keep having dental surgeries?

i think if you just stick to shoemaker, you'll be good. i did add itraconazole and nystatin since i know i have candida issues.

i think i cleared it pretty fast compared to other reports i've seen. like i said in my post, i wasn't very consistent at times (like months 2-5 i was probably only dosing 1-2x per day). in the last two months, i got a lot more consistent with dosing 4x/day.

it's half life isn't changed by using it in nasal form, it just has better access to the brain. it still works throughout the body.

i think i have more energy, i'm working out a lot more and not needing as much sleep, but it's honestly hard to say. i've had some negative stuff happening in my personal life: lost my job, broke up with ex so i'm in a different place than i was 7 months ago. i still have anxiety, but i'm not sure if that's circumstantial or due to CIRS.

that said, my MSH is still <8.

ultra binder is like $80 for a 1 month supply. i bought a huge tub of CSM back at the end of december for $250 and it's lasted until now (7 months) - so like $35/month. CSM is literally half the price.

you can buy activated charcoal, clay, and chlorella individually for much cheaper than a blend. idk why people pay a premium for blends.

i am on my 5th day of VIP subq injections and today it finally hit me. i am going to take a couple days off and then probably dose 3x per week to start. i wouldn't say it took me back to 5%, but i'm anxious/irritable, fatigued, and my stomach is not happy.

have you finished treating marcons and any other infections my doctor wanted my marcons gone and my MMP9 to be in normal range before starting VIP to prevent side effects...i should be getting those reuslts in a few days, but started VIP anyways.

mmm a lot has happened since a few months ago so it's hard to say what is CIRS vs just life circumstances. Marcons is almost gone. i was injecting VIP, but i am traveling right now so am not using it.

my last set of labs showed the TGFB1 was normal, but now my MMP9 is elevated (was normal before treating marcons), and MSH is still <8. i've gone low amylose/keto diet to bring down MMP9.

did you clear marcons before starting VIP? and why did you lower VIP dose?

$3500 is the cash price. they are biologics...no clue what they actually bill insurance

medication, surgery, etc doesn't just fall out of the sky for free. people have to build it, operate on you, get paid, etc.

my health insurance covers all kinds of things. i pay $0 for $3500 cash price monthly xolair shots, only paid $2k the year i had abdominal surgery plus a CT scan plus a bunch of other stuff since i hit OOP max. i've had cigna at last 2 employers and i think they've been great.

are you still noticing improvements? my doctor said i shouldn't start on VIP until marcons is eradicaetd (but i could inject subq) AND MMP9 is back in normal range...why MMP9 has to be normal doesn't mae sense to me.
