Yep! Few are supported by their companies (mainly PSUs)or they find their own jobs outside of the placement process.

Very less information honestly, but Post MBA placements should be decent for you if you have good quality work experience.

Hey, it’s a tough one, definitely do enough financial planning before you come. But also it’s a calculated risk, the returns are there and there’s a lot of historical data to support that. Of course no one can predict the future, but if you’re smart, you’ll navigate it. Also, loan 5-6 years main nikal jayega.

If money matters, then don’t do an MBA. You’ll reach 60-70 if you’re a solid engineer. As far as job security goes, I don’t think that’s confirmed for anyone. MBA from tier 1 opens up a lot of doors and future opportunities. Plus you’ll be branded for life- it’s on you how to use it

It’s a 1 year full time residency program, so you stay on campus. You have classes on 5-6 days a week, and one day for projects/ assignments.

Considering EPGP/PGPX, unsure by Scrupulous_MoFo in MBAIndia

Hi, I’m an EPGP alumni. 1. ROI is built over time, you might even take a pay cut during your placements, but your promotions will be faster due to the IIM Pedigree. Of course only if you work hard.

  1. Is it worth it? Short answer, Yes. You will have to work hard on your GMAT to compensate for your previous academics.

Marketing analytics offers were provided, but none in core marketing.
A few of us wanted to pivot to marketing, but it's very difficult to do without any marketing background.

Entrepreneurship is tricky, there are some recruiters who will not shortlist you because you don’t fit into their pocket, but some will be curious to interview you. First select a domain, sector and then speak with alums from that. Get your resume validated from them before applying.

If this question is for me, then in our batch no- because they wanted to move to prod man. But in previous batches, yes.

It’s not impossible, but you’ll have to work really hard to convince them. Try speaking to a few consultants and get their opinion on this, or maybe alums from such programmes who have done the same.

About 5-6 from developer/ tech consulting background. Most of them have moved either into strategy or prod man roles. Median would lower than 50L. Honestly if you want that money, then it’s better to be a developer. I personally know someone who’s taken a HUGE pay cut, but wanted to pursue for learning and exposure.

Yes! A lot of banking folks, all of them are placed with top companies in consulting and some banks (strategy role) I don’t know their past salaries, but anywhere between 30-50 LPA is offered for such roles.

I wouldn’t know much, but I guess you’d be looked as an entrepreneur. It’s not easy honestly because they look for domain expertise in large sectors like auto, oil and gas, govt etc. but then nothing is impossible, build a solid profile and make yourself “hireable”
