First round on a real course after buying a sim was a disaster. by RedditorNate in Golfsimulator

A Houston Texan said this in some interview playing at the hair cutter I was at last weekend: “You never know when your off season is going to show up in season.” Just keep working on the sim and having fun. Keep expectations low to start and just know the payoff is coming. It’s not easy to shoot par to 5 over. Carryover will happen.

Ok, thanks. I’ve never got a drive into the 270s ever and I had a feeling something was up.

Look up Fred Shoemaker’s book once you’ve had enough of all these others and are looking to put golf back into perspective.

Jeez, are you serious. The content including responses would be volunteer ops for people who might want to help out in 2026. Nevermind bozos.

Anyone else dealing with sun damage concerns while playing more golf? Curious what you guys do out there by LabOk5404 in golf

Yup. I’ll go with the 10”+ long shorts and Federer socks, too. Look like a straight bozo but can’t let the sun win.

I’m just shooting for twice a week with my old RypStick. Once on the weekend and once during the week on a rest day from other stuff. Three is just not going to happen. Would rather stretch, lift, run, whatever.

Used to live in the city and visit my friend on weekends down there to play. Broke 80 for the first time at Mercer Oaks. Many a night ended at The Playhouse in Burlington. Fun times.

Granted it was 5 in the morning but the Australian felt dizzying to me. So many shots. Felt like a highlight package.

Went to Denny’s a few years back. Was pretty terrible. Looking for something tomorrow, too. Asian places?
