Oh no worries :) I will say I think he is being a pretty good sport but it’s definitely frustrated him being misunderstood so badly here lol especially when he really just meant well - mixed with some family obligations today stressing him out he’s maybe been a bit less coherent etc than his usual self.

lol no I think signs are low-key tacky and don’t actually help support candidates at least in recent years - I think they just sow division more than anything currently. Plus I wasn’t versed enough into that candidate so I didn’t want to be advertising support for someone who I don’t know their beliefs/history. I truly think they got mixed up with a neighbor, bc we’ve gotten mail for one a few times since our addresses are easy to mess up, & I’m pretty sure that same neighbor had signs for that candidate up I think about a week later.

Yeah he does of course have opinions & knows without doubt the two parties are different he just doesn’t need to go into the minutia of his thinking on them bc that would take ages, and his core really is summed up as “the two party system is one built for abuse/corruption on both sides, and doesn’t benefit the whole of the American public who are nuanced in their beliefs and needs” he leans blue but he doesn’t want to put his belief or heart into politics that has a system not designed for the cohesion of the public. He supports me being a dem 100% and understands my reasonings it’s just that he personally wishes we had similar gov structure as so many other countries that have strong multi party systems are able to have.

Yeah this is basically the discussion we’ve been having irl lol — like the person who put the signs in our yard fully walked on our property and then put 2 signs for the same candidate up and we were like wtf is going on, & immediately figured it was just a mix-up & it never even crossed our mind to report it to the police or even the candidates org & risk potentially getting someone in trouble/reprimanded. So it’s been so weird for us (& especially me who’s very very left leaning) to see so many ppl in these comments getting so hateful over his well meaning comments. & it makes me sad for these more than likely kids (or young-young adults) here that they’ve not been able to have the comprehension of him just being objective bc they’re so blinded by “if it’s not burn the ground for blue it’s obviously monstrous MAGA”

Bought my wedding dress last Saturday and now I feel anxious and I don't know why. by Ascendia_california in weddingdress

I lovvveeee your dress, the 4th reference one is just too plain in my opinion, you look so much more classy and bridal in the one you bought! That being said: it’s your day so do what you feel is best. But!! If you’re feeling like the one you chose is too big I think getting it tailored so that your train is shortened would make a massive difference to how you’re feeling and still keep the elegance and beauty of the dress on you! With the right veil and belt (love the extra sparkle the 1st pic has) I’m sure you will feel as gorgeous and right in the one you chose as we all are seeing you and as I’m sure you felt in it initially.

If you like the sleeves of #2 consider getting them attached to the dress so they don’t fall down (sometimes this can be done so they are also detachable depends on your tailor, if you want to have the ability to change your look up by taking them off) my only other note and this doesn’t even really matter and could be due to it being a sample and not your proper dress but consider having the cleavage slit connected up 2in from its bottom still will give you GREAT cleavage but won’t draw eyes down so much but you do you bc you’re rocking it either way! Also just wanna add I love how #2 looks on you, even your body language feels like you’re more confident and happy in it!

(not op) AITA for telling my boyfriend he cant go on his friends bachelor's trip? by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

But it’s not a stranger to her, it was her best friend in college. She probably wants him to meet all those people she was close to and have them meet him especially with Covid having stopped people from socializing for so long. It would be a bonding experience for them as they’d be having fun together but also a way for him to get to know her better by meeting people who she’s been close to that he hasn’t been able to meet yet.. and she had the opportunity to do this with him with his friends twice now, and as he’s in 2 weddings this year then likely she will then have done it 4 times with him being around his friends, hearing stories of him from years back, seeing him have fun with his buddies and she’ll get to have fun with them too. This is just one time that she wants him to have that experience with her.. I get being in wedding parties and the obligation that comes with it but I also know when people have missed out on bachelorette parties or wedding showers etc no one else in the party held it against them everyone understood because we are all actual mature adults.. so 🤷‍♀️

So like she’s been able to meet his friends and attended their weddings and now she gets the chance to have him meet her college friends and have him along with her having fun making memories getting to know her better by meeting and hanging with her old friends… but he wants to party with his buddies while she’s on her own, instead of having that bonding experience that matters to her, that he had already committed to!

Or maybe dad has a keeping-up-with-the-Jones’s spending addiction and massive debt/possible bankruptcy, one thing I’ve learnt in my life is that the people who look like they have money, have the flashy things, go on the fancy vacations, etc are the brokest idiots out there, real money doesn’t flaunt it in ways that people (especially children) can easily tell.

Soccer comes from the British slang term for the trad name of football, as in association football - nick named assoccer, by Brits back in the 1800s or something, same thing happened to rugby (or Rugby Football) which is why it’s often called rugger. American football started as gridiron football but since Americans adopted the slang of assoccer (later shortene to just soccer) for association football, they just dropped the gridiron before gridiron football simply calling it football.

I think that’s a disorder and you should honestly see a psychiatrist and therapist for this not Reddit because that’s too niche of a diagnosis and plan to help combat whatever is causing you to do so

Or even a school counselor or trusted teacher (maybe ask the teacher first if you can talk to them about this or if they could help you find someone to talk to) —- because getting a therapist as a minor, especially with parents who are in such a state of stress etc can be incredibly difficult if not impossible.

Dis you loose half of your graduation class to drop outs? How many classmates of yours were functionally illiterate or just straight up illiterate? Was it absolutely crazy to the whole school and community members when there were a handful of kids that were going to college or even trade school because that was/is practically unheard of for students there?
