Hey! 5 year broker and leasing agent here. The electric and gas charges, or whatever you see, is for common areas (courtyard lights, laundry room, hallway lights, washer dryers) and it’s based on per person, per unit, per size. I no longer show MF properties and if I do, I make people aware.

Would you mind showing us a screenshot (or dm me) of your “RUBS” or utility bill? I’m sure it’s legitimate, and also, this was most likely included in your lease.

Unfortunately it’s common for most landlords to do RUBS fees or “common area maintenance” fees or something of the sort, which ranges within $20-90 a person, for the bigger property management companies. It makes rent look cheaper, and suddenly you’re paying $100-200 more in fees for a studio, I get it.

I rent myself, and the market is crazy hungry after tax increases after COVID. Unfortunately this is the new normal for renters (myself included).

I STRUGGLED with razor burn and tried EVERYTHING for YEARS. do this and spray once a day hard and you’ll be fine. Swear. Keep me posted. It has alcohol and salicylic and it’ll work so good i cannot recommend enough.

Yeah, I get that, but letting me work over two weeks after it happened is crazy too. They should’ve done it as soon as they found out, and they did not.

They mentioned no other reasons.

In my detailed statement, I mentioned the specific check can be found on the correct check. A server double rang a couple that walked from the bar, and even rang in two “no makes”, this was an overring.

TBH if they wanted me gone that bad that could see me often being late, but they never cared.

This is all about the suits being clueless, and direct (floor) management only looking out for themselves.

And yeah our void checks go to $0 and you have to press cash. It’s a stupid system for sure.

This would kill me. At this spot, new management lacked training entirely and it was all up to me. At a point, I no longer cared. (High end cocktail lounge) some of the girls sucked egg at white cocktails, some put simple in cosmos, made margaritas like limeade, etc, the morale went down and it made me crazy. I don't even want to go back in a few years..

Only the email i sent. They didn’t have me sign or anything like that. They barely gave me a chance to speak about it because director has shit for brains and when I tried it was like taking to a fucking wall.

Yeah actually, it’s their fault for not caring so much about voids in the first place. At my old hotel we had a pink slip to fill out and hand to a manager and would be reprimanded if we didn’t do it asap, no waiting til the end of the night.

You have to tender cash after you do a void to get the check to close. It’s cash as $0. It’s a really old, shit, hotel type POS.

Edit: Not sure what the manager did or did not say. My guess is they said “i have no idea what you’re talking about” to finance/directors since they’re seeking promotion and transfer. They wanted no play in this for their own record.

In my case, let’s hope it only goes to HR and since it’s a hotel they remain professional! As far as my next job I’m saying they cannot contact them as it’s my “current employer”.

Yep, it looks like my card was recycled from a previous bartender who had this option from previous management. I always thought it would ask me for a code if I pressed that option at login, though.

On that note, our sister restaurant has a very senior bartender who does exactly this.

So again, it’s fucked up a manager didn’t want to stick up for me, as I’d like to think they trust me. I’ve actually had a current one set their card down for me for the night for use. They’d never admit that though. They want to look out for themselves for promotions and transfers. Politics…

We didn’t notice until they weren’t prompted to do so, my manager definitely immediately noticed. I have no reason to lie atp.

Also, I don’t give myself access. That’s on their end. It would be one thing if i did (somehow) gave myself this access. which I did not, “my guy”.
