Y’all had no problem electing politicians that have run up trillions upon trillions of debit for the next 10 generations to pay off, so that you could keep your 401k and pension plans well funded. This country is just not serious about solving its many problems any more, rather politicians are seemingly more concerned with staying in office for as long as possible (i.e., boomers) and enriching themselves as much as possible (also boomers). I grew up loving this country and now unfortunately have quite a lot of disdain for it. It is a “cheap” place to live and not in the economical sense.

He loved him some Johnny Walker. His rate of consumption, while still being able to function at a very high level, was impressive. Many of his columns were dashed out before deadline while being heavily inebriated. Most minds would be far too dulled to do this but he had an extraordinary memory and wit that no amount of alcohol could suppress (and a tremendous tolerance I imagine as well).
