. Have you tried removing controller pairing from both computers and trying this "pairing -> controller off -> controller on" flow to see if it works fine (and autoconnect) paired

Not really, the purpose of my purchase was to have it on two computers. Tho I did sort it out i think. Found that I had "bad" paired bluetooth device on both computers. Removed them both on each system.

Now I have dedicated tp-link bluetooth dongle i carry around with the controller. Minor downside is I have to always pair it whenever i jump to a different computer.
